i have come to the conclusion that it is very helpfull to use the battlegrid view
(where you take command and set orders) to spare LRM-ammunition.
I look that way wich target to pick and if it is worth to start firing lrm´s on locked targets.
I see if the enemy is behind an obstacle or in the open or at a location where he will get out of LOS from the ally that is locking the target actually with a high possibility in a few seconds.
With some map knowledge and an eye for a map you can figure out pretty good
what terain is actual dispayed on the battle grid.
This helps saving worthy ammo.Only thing you have to consider is having a save
spot covered from enemy LOS for this method. But at beginning of a fight where LRM BOATS
mostly chose firing on locks without seeing the enemy its a good method to
optimize your results as an LRM BOAT.Makes me feel much more like a LRM BOAT pilot
that have skill cause he behave inteligent and dont spam red quarters like a lunatic
