You've had the option to boot 64 bit for a couple of months, now it just detects abd defaults to it if you are 64 bit. Apart from not having an auto time-out, never much difference for me.

I've had a moderate frame increase (5 or so) after switching to 64bit.

At least as far as I've noticed. I could be imagining things.

Well it does emulate 32 bit if your computer is 64 which makes the processors do something to make the game a little slower don't know all the details maybe someone does.

Is that what that was? My client had been running in 32 because it always crashed in 64 - it wouldn't even load in 64, some kind of strange directx issue.

I was so stunned by the change in the mechbay appearance, I had to shut down for at least another six hours to contemplate this development.

What will this mean for my future? For the world? OMG - the children!

I may still be in shock.

I've been lazy about going to the 64 bit client. Besides, the 32 bit client ran well for me (only the extremely rare crash to desktop). I figured, why risk introducing issues if 32 seemed stable enough.

Well, now I won't have a choice. I'll be crossing my fingers.

I had issues with 64bit and went back to 32bit.
Maybe time to give it a shot again.

Sure you do. Just indicate you want to use the 32 bit version instead (through the cogwheel icon when you start the game, same location as the repair tool). That's what I did when it turned out I was missing some dll's. But I'll be trying to get those dll's tonight and try the 64-bit environment. :)

I've been running the 64-bit client since they offered it and have had no stability issues.

I get more random crashes, but slightly better performance.

FPS went up 15-20 for me (65-85).
No crashes yet.

I had to patch my monitor driver to bump up to 64bit. Now if I could only get a stable FpS I'd be happy.

As of the most recent patch you'll be running the 64 bit client by default (in a 64 bit OS, obvs). If you're getting the same thing I did, this is what you need to do:

The client is telling me that I'm missing the xinput1_3.dll and MSVCP100.dll files.

These two files are required for running the 64-bit version of the MechWarrior Online client. As of May 5th 2015, all 64-bit systems will automatically start the MWO client in 64-bit mode.
