Will the game progress time wise and apart from adding more mechs will they introduce new clans or is it out of the question?

If they do progress the timeline it won't be for another couple years at least, there are still over a dozen Clan omnimechs that could be developed, not to mention many IS mechs as well. Once they cover most mechs from 3050-3052 timeline, you can probably expect a time leap into either the FedCom Civil War (3062 - 3067) or the Jihad (3067 - 3072). In either case, you can look forward to Clan battlemechs, IS omnimechs, more factions (ie. rest of invading Clans, Word of Blake) and more weapons (Arrow IV, heavy/light ppc, heavy/light gauss, MRM, ATM, heavy lasers).
