I do not know if that is a 'set-in-stone" rule, but it's a good place to start. Sarna.net (battle Tech wiki and all around interesting site) breaks down Battlemech chasis commonly fielded by house, clan and fringe group, you can figure out the specific variant in the descriptions.

Victor 9K = Kurita
That chart said they used 22.6 Viktors compared to 7.5 for Kurita. I went with the commando for my light because it was used by the forces but it also had ECM which I wanted for my light.

More likely to see an Enforcer ENF-4R or Centurion CN9-A than a CN9-AH.
Victor's more likely to be the 9B, or the 9D.
The 9D is the same as the 9K, just sourcing parts from different manufacturers, the 9D being Davion's version, and the 9K is Kurita's.
-edit- Worth noting that while the Commando is a Steiner signature, we don't have the Fed Suns' main scout, the Valkyrie. Darn unseen!

Not to mention the Locust...

Indeed, but the Victor used by the Kuritans are (almost) only the Ks.
About house exclusive variants, this might help (not 100% true, but close):
K = Kurita
S = Steiner
M = Marik
L = Liao (most X variants are also Liao prototypes)
D= Davion
PS: don't trust the Faction sales list - if you really want to dig accurate info, look here.

Look at the top of faction sale you had up and that is the mechs for that house/factionhttp://mwomercs.com/news/2014/09/943-rasalhague-sale
this example here is the FRR faction sale list,so every mech on that list is FRR related minus the new resistance ones. Hope that helps you out. And some of the mechs do intersect with other house.

Even though there are K variants for those mechs, a most authentic Draconis Combine deck by our era would be:
- Panther (almost half the DC lights are Panthers)
- Griffin or Wolverine (the medium weight class is not much favored by the DC)
- Dragon (the most common Kuritan heavy mech)
- Mauler (by 3052, the standard Kuritan assault along with the Hatamoto-Chi)
