i mean 4 PPC's on an awesome with 2x skills unlocked loaded on heatsinks AND the ppc heat quirks and it still can just BARELY handle shooting 4 ppcs. After that they are dead in the water for awhile until they cooldown.
All that for a 40 point alpha that is hard to hit with after about 400 meters unless target is stationary. Meanwhile In that same time you can fire 4 AC/5's enough times for the same amount of damage (more actually) and have zero heat problems. i know the tonnage is different+ the ammo required but you have to carry almost as many heat sinks as you would ammo.
I think it would be safe to up the ghost heat limit on PPC's to 3 fired before the penalty kicks in. That or lower their heat overall.
In general i really think its time to revisit the heat/ghost heat systems and fix some things. I could live with like an extra .5 seconds burn time if it would mean i don't over heat ever dishing out only 80-100 points of damage in a reasonable time frame.
