So, the devs said that they want to keep this a 'mech simulator, not something with planes you can fly because of the amount of work that'd have to go into making them usable; on the contrary, think of how easily elementals, infantry, quad 'mechs, tanks, vehicles, etc. could be made. People have been talking about elementals, single player missions, quad 'mechs, etc., etc... I understand that all of these would not have the same strengths or weaknesses, take a tank as an example; it is harder to hit, yet if it's armor gets breached, it'd be screwed. Elementals would be cool to see in the game now that we have clans. Yes, this would take a good amount of time for all units, whether they are AI or player controlled, to be implemented and fully functional, but imagine if we had what we wanted in this game. There could be entirely new gamemodes for armor engagements or elemental/infantry battles. Quad 'mechs have always been a hot topic for adding in. There's not really much to lose for making such things, and as far as money is concerned with the F2P model that this game is using with 'mech packs has generated a significant amount of money to the devs. PLAYERS have put AI mechs into the CryEngine devkit. Think, if such talent out there exists, why not recruit? The possibilities are endless, almost as endless and rich as the lore of this universe is. -Donner (MWO) aka Erik313 (Reddit)
