The whole fight for a big gun thing is okay, I expected that much doing Bata 1, But now it's time to add game modes that require a little tactics.
my first Suggestion is Landing Zone. Doing which the invading team must have a straight up fight to 'secure' there LZ and establish a foot hold. The defenders job in this would be to destroy the Drop ship (IE an Overlord) to disrupt this. the invading team wins if they can maintain there LZ and destroy all the defending mech's.
The second suggestion is Convoy, doing which the attacking team must intercept a convoy of Tanks, Transports and 3 Mobile Field bases. (IE, The REAL MFB From MW3) The defending team must insure that this convoy makes it to there 'base' Mind you. for these to work these maps must be HUGE, with multiple spawn zones for both attacking and defending sides.
The last game mode is 'Final Battle' this is where the results from the previous game modes REALLY come into play. The objective is to destroy all mech's for both sides. along with 'key installations' for the teams. If the Defending units managed to get there Convoy in, they would then have set up repair centers. Mind you. these repair centers work. But take at least 2 minutes, are very open and do NOT repair you to full.
If the Attacking team managed to keep there Drop ship from being 'crippled' then they two would have repair centers, and the Overlord would have deployed Turrets. This is where the whole straight up brawl comes in, and brings into play 'CW' Right now. as both sides have to protect there 'base's' well killing as much as they can.
This is all subject to tweaking but it would be a straight up 3 round game. meaning once your paired with an enemy team, your in with that team for 3 whole rounds. But I think it'd be a good challenge in terms of game, and would eliminate the 'oh it's this map, do this' feel that we have now, as objectives would be based on how well both teams did.
Another requirement would be to Drop the Tonnage limits and allow 1 mech of Each Class (Light, Med, Heavy, Assault) Example would be Raven (light) Enforcer (Med) Catapult (heavy) and Atlas (assault)
All in all I think it'd be a good idea. real fun and would add the need to think of new tactics each game as NOTHING would be the same for both teams twice.

Russ said in a town hall that new scout mode which will utilize 4v4 combat is coming, so i guess that's a start. Still i would like to see something like MW2, where an invading unit has to complete several missions before capping a planet rather then just grind as it is now

The only thing I would like to see is mission that rely much less destroying players, instead destroy enemy installations and then retreat. Kind of hit and run tactics but dynamically added to a mission? Almost all the game modes in MWO end up being destroy the enemy team. The reward system needs to be adjusted with objectives that are more than just destroy X number of players (EG add a escort directive to a mission?).

I agree CW needs more missions, I liked when the Assault mission in MWO had turrets. Maybe a map like the New River City could have several defended facilities incorporating Conquest and Assault together. For the Defender it works like Conquest where you keep a percentage of 3000 points(750x4), on the other hand the attacker must capture these 4 facilities and hold them until one side is dead or time is up. Most resource points wins or if you kill the other team.
