If only we knew how match score was actually calculated. Cuz right now 30 Match Score is well out of my Trial Mechs Reach.

I don't know all the scores, but some I do know for sure are:

Win: 10 points
10 damage: 1 point
Kill or Assist: 1 point
Kill Turret: 1 point

Do 300+ damage and you will always get your 30 points.

Top 5 - Atlas Statue Cockpit Item

I'm currently one number 1 right now. Do i get a statue? Or do i have to keep myself within the top 5 untill the event is over?

How does it get counted?

As someone else pointed out, allowing Veteran Founders to choose a Founder 'mech would not interfere with the parameters of the event. It would simply allowed Veteran Founders to contribute to being Founders in the Calling ALL Founders event.

Well as someone else also pointed out, I believe Vet Founders are still eligible for the extra Founder-only rewards in the personal challenge, and they'll also have their say in the map rework selection (provided the non-Vet Founders manage to get the 50k). So it is still "Calling All Founders" in those respects, it's just that Vets can't work toward the 50k/Leaderboard parts. Maybe PGI could make the event description clearer on this?

Obviously they shouldn't do anything for the Vets that serves to offend the higher Founder tiers. Even if the higher tiers were to get a bonus (F) mech as well, I imagine they'd offer similar complaints as those who wound up with multiple copies of the (L) mechs after the Loyalty rewards: "What good does it do for me to have 2 CN9-AH's that I can't sell?"

So if you want to show more appreciation for the Vets, why not just give all tiers of Founder a free mech of a variant they probably don't have already? ...something new for those oldtimers who dropped out somewhere along the way, but not so new that it's not out for C-Bills yet (because that would disrespect the package buyers). You could give them a Panther next week, or wait for Urbie to come out for C-Bills and give them that, or whatever. Showing Founder appreciation needn't (and shouldn't) be limited to this weekend's event; "Founders Keepers" indeed.

As a non-Founder I for one fully support throwing goodies the Founders' way. I was out of gaming for 7-8 years, then last Fall I belatedly got wind that after years and years of unmet hopes, someone had actually finally made a modern online BattleTech game. So I got myself a new computer just for this. Bless those Founders, even if I missed the boat on being one (not that I regret missing out on some of the apparently bumpy early development stages tho)...

I'm pretty sure those don't happen anymore... might help posting "evidence" of said sync drops to prove your point. ;)

So i played a cw game as non founder and my challenge track for the Personal Challenge doesn't changed as non founder? Is it right, that the challenge does not be counted with points of cw?

WTF PGI you don't want the people to play cw i guess?

Could be coincidence. Some units are big. It does not happen all the time. More rare then often.

I know you mean veteran founders, but I feel the same way. The rules should be founders using a founders variant so we are all included. I have never stopped playing this game and even bought the Urbie $40 package, but get left out of something like this. Just another example of PGI forgetting about those that got them there.

Good catch and fixed. Thanks.

Sadly we will never see those good ol graphics again, I asked Russ about this in the town hall last time he said more people playing was important.

So thanks to tons of people who are PC gamers playing with comador 64's and gateway laptops, the "minimum requirement" is way to minimum IMO. Minimum requirement should be nothing less of a PS4.

I look at it this way why support someone who is such a cheap ass they refuse to buy a decent rig $570 (cheapest rig I have seen recently)? If you're not willing to put money into your hobbie/past time, what's the chance you would spend money on a f2p game anyway when it's free to you?

Yes, I'm a little salty about the lack of good damage models, 4k textures, and other fluff we could have but don't because the majority of player base isn't willing to spend money on decent PC's.

If you do not have a dedicated graphics card minimum 3-4yrs old, you do not have the right to complain about FPS performance in my opinion. It's like bitching at Sony that your ps2 is playing ps4 games....

Funny thing is PGI doesn't even have to have take out good graphics to allow lousy computers to play it. Simply keep the 'lower' settings as they are, and allow for better stuff on higher settings. Textures have mipmaps specifically for graphic settings. Not having really ugly things like film grain and a non-dynamic depth of field are largely unnecessary but despite what they hog for processing they are active on the lowest settings. Why? The players can't even see that far. The biggest offender and Russ has finally admitted this, is the Scaleform scripts in the UI. On older computers that I've played MWO with where I get 14 to 20 fps, simply turning off the HUD which is entirely Scaleform code will jump me to a very playable 38 to 50 fps. Next time you get into a match and have a slow frame rate, hit Right CTRL + F11. So the biggest performance hit has nothing to do with the graphics.

Performance being cut for lower end is fine, but you can cut it from lower settings and still have it there for higher settings. There's a reason why Star Citizen is getting such income, when PGI's attempt at copying it didn't get anywhere (aside from the shameless similarities to SC and the balancing issues here, the main reason I didn't jump on it is quite frankly I can't trust PGI to make a game that won't radically change both in direction and graphically.) (Also they can spit 'simulation' all they want, but this game hasn't even been close to a simulation since they took some radical changes in direction in closed beta away from it in the hopes of 'simplifying' the game; ever notice it's not the "Thinking person's shooter" anymore? Instead, "The future is war." What kind of sense does that even make? We don't even have a war going on, just skirmishes between 'rare war machines' that are so common that it's easy to own hundreds of them and not a single tank or infantryman or conventional aircraft in sight.)

"We will have destructible environments."

Anyone can participate, and there are no 'Mech restrictions!

You can never quote this enough.

You can still vote when the poll is open (almost 20% to go right now, so it won't take long)

How does it get counted?

You need to keep there until the event ends (otherwise many of the first players to start the challenge would get the prize).

And only your 10 best matches count.

I'm an Elite founder, shelled out my 60 bucks back in CB. Just pulled out the old Atlas for the first time in a couple years. Played 3 games, and put it right the hell back. The tournament rewards are in no way worth the psychic pain of trying to play a giant, slow brawler with low hardpoints and crappy quirks. I remember back when I bought the founders pack, and wondering what idiot wouldn't pick the 100 ton assault. This was back when Atlases were actually fearsome, instead of free kills. My how things have changed.
