I don't really care for the new mech selection screen. The old one wasn't great, but at least it was one click to select any mech you owned. Just as importantly, the old mechlab UI let you quickly see which mechs had a daily XP bonus and which did not at a glance. The new UI requires you to go digging around to see that information.

The mech list might not be as bad if the scroll wheel speed weren't so low. I don't own enough mechs to fill the current UI's grid, and it takes me about eight full turns of the scroll wheel to get from the top of the new list to the bottom. It should take one or two.

In the columnar mech lab view, adding components is tedious. Double clicking removes a component, which is good and quick, but double clicking an item in the warehouse menu should add that part to whatever section of the mech is currently selected.

On that note, double clicking to remove an item gives bad player feedback, the first click is treated like a drag and makes the mechlab selection sound, and then plays it again rapidly after the second click is registered to remove the component.

ECM being listed under weapons is unintuitive. It would make far more sense for it to be listed under equipment.

Quirks need a better display method. As is, they are only visible from a checkbox and then the window that pops up is generally too small to display all the quirks, and requires scrolling. Furthermore, it's not readily apparent what the quirks do- the firepower, heat efficiency, and dps information should update based on the mech's quirks.

Consumables can be updated from the mech selection screen; modules should have the same functionality.

The new IS engine menu is nice, and it shows the relationship that the engine has on the twist/turn speeds of the mech. While clan mechs can't change their engines, adding display functionality for these stats would be nice.

Make the dropdown that switches between the expanded and columnar views more visible. I couldn't find it until I went to the website to see what functions I was missing.

The expanded layout is not pretty. The way it is jammed into the corner of the screen feels very off, and the fact that it doesn't scale to the UI is even worse.

Bring back the ability to purchase mechs directly from the mechlab, or at least allow us to preview a mech's stats and appearance from the store. Right now buying means purchasing completely blind.
