I very much appreciate the inclusion of filter options in the mech selection window and the warehouse, However the implementation requires an excessive number of click for my (and I presume others) typical use case.

Typically I want to filter down to one specific type of weapon, item, mech in order to have a short list of items to search. Changing the behavior of the current buttons so that by default none of them are "active" and the default behavior is to display all items if no filters are active would significant improve this. Now with one click you can focus on the class of item you are interested in, yet still expand that to many classes with just a few clicks. Including a "reset" button that cleared all of the filters would be nice addition to allow for a quick return to all items being displayed.

I have had the same issue all the time. I can't seem to remember to deselect what I don't want to search for. Then again this requires many clicks when I want to look for a specific item. This should be click to select, not click to remove. Add an all button for those who want to search unfiltered. I believe that clicking to apply a filter is a messy click fest. I do like the functionality of selecting a chassis section and only having those weapons able to be mounted listed however it took me a very long time to find that this was even an option because I had no reason to click on each of the locations that I knew of.
