Bad enough the quirks and hit boxes on numerous IS mechs and toss in the 10 extra tons for CW spawns. Now you sell a Clan mech full of Negative Quirks?!?! Sad to say that I have already bought the next clan pack.

Everyone I know who has got the A has had nothing but good things to say about it, and that the negative quirks are hardly noticeable.
Congratulations, you can now make the best heavy mech in the game while others have to make do with low mount Timber hardpoints unless they want to shell out the money.

That said, it had to have it. Without hose negative quirks it would have been ale to be built into Thor on steroids. An absolute stone cold killer.
As it is, with the quirks, it can be turned into a devastating laser sniper or a medium range killer. Swap some components and you have more energy hard points than a Nova and enough heat capacity to alpha them in two groups. Or stick 3 CERLLs in the shoulder and cripple mechs with a shot r two at 750 meters.

I also bought it and now I can poke/peak the **** out of everything. Something that was defenitely missing for clan mechs.
The negative quirks are barely noticeable from my point of view.

For me they are quite noticeable, they make the mech peform simular to a direwolf that can upgrade its engine =l
This mech: **** for normal players, probably good for metas.

Have you actually used it? Compared to the other Timberwolf variants I barely noticed the negative quirks and those high-mounted energy hard points MORE than make up for what deficiencies it does suffer from. The Timber-A is my go-to Clan heavy and easily produces top kills and top damage.

There isn't and it doesn't, respectively.
There are still normal matches and things that work well in CW don't necessarily translate that performance to the standard arena drops. Even then, there are different "metas" for each map. There are even "metas" designed to counter other "metas."
The STK-4N and TDR-9SE are not uber machines in standard drops, they are hull-down, long range, firing-line type 'Mechs. They can get crushed by Poptart, Big Engine Stomp, Brawl, and Capping, to use the terms from Metamechs. The TBR-A is in that same a niche. Just like those IS options, it does really well in that one role, and inherits the same weaknesses. The difference is that the TBR is really fast, really heavily armored, and won't require you to spend the C-Bills to purchase and equip an entire variant to excel in that role because you will eventually be able to just buy the omnipod.

I am sure the 10% less reverse speed has crippled the 2nd best Mech in the game. Who hasn´t trembled in fear of the backward TimberDerp assault?
Don´t laugh, considering how often the rear torso hitboxes refuse to register, it will probably be a thing soon...
And no, I am not even trying to discuss something reasonably with a person that obviously just wants to whine and hasn´t checked twice on the topic of his whine either.

Do people post things like this because they want to be berated for being an idiot and spending their money only to regret it immediately? That's sure what it seems like.
A fool and his money...
Aside from that, whining about your otherwise unbalanced mech because of a couple negative quirks is stupid.

I would have preferred seeing two on the shoulder and one where the TBR-Prime energy hardpoint is, like this:

And keeping the negative quirks on there would still be fine with me.
