I hate the invasion pattern.
I don't need a pack of mechs.

Please just make a paid normal variant that carries a 30% c-bill boost and put put it in the store?

"Technically", if the Invasion variants had it switchable in such a way that the special geo is disabled (because that is the primary reason the camos aren't available/reskinned for the invasion variants), then it would be doable.

It's the quick and dirty/easy way of accomplishing this.

This is in large part why I won't order another mech pack. It just doesn't make sense. The variants that get the 30% bonus in packs usually aren't the "best" or unique CTs in a chassis. The color schemes and unique geometries usually make the mechs look like they're wearing a geriatric 80s track suit (Ice Ferret even has the comb over to go along with it)! More seriously though -- the value in those packs is negligible. You can say that premium time has a value. It does. It allows you to grind through the mechs you've just spent $80-120 (or more) on faster. Now just re-read that and let it sink in...

Much more cost-effective to wait till they're released for c-bills when you can just buy a meager MC pack for GXP'ing and customizing instead... And a lot less of a headache knowing don't have to grind just to get the mech to where it can run at it's full potential. If you're a long-time vet like I am, you're probably already sitting on a massive pile of c-bills and sellable inventory. You've probably got dozens of empty mech bays. The only value in these packs for someone like me anymore is just early access. And I've found I have no trouble waiting.

It's a little difficult to come up with a Hero OmniMech, since the Omnipods can be swapped out for something you'd rather have instead of the stock Hero version.

They'll probably wait and come out with some Hero Clan BattleMechs, either something like a Kodiak or one of the IIC Mechs, since those aren't Omni's and they can set special hardpoints on them that can't be swapped out.

Naw, the centre torso can be unique, and then quirk it's stock loadout. Hero.

Psst You could buy a pack and then buy a pattern to change the camo.
