nothing to do whether meta or quirks change...some mechs just don't fit good, don't feel good, or play a style I don't like. I don't care how good they are....if I don't like running them, they aren't worth keeping.

Yeah, I get that. I'm an oddball, though, a flightly little butterfly mechwarrior. While there are mechs I deeply love, I go through phases where The Right Mech For Me is something totally random. My tastes change daily, this is why no loadouts stay on my mechs for more than a handful of drops.

Never liked to put any SRMs on my Fatlas. My old Fatlas had success with dual UAC5 + dual LLs, but that was back in 2013 and 2014. Current Atlas has AC20 + Triple LPLs, and I am doing well with it in the leaderboards. Just gotta watch the heat like a Clanner.

My Founders Catapult has never really sat long enough to rust. It's taken a back seat for lengths of time but always seemed to go back to it. Since CW went live, it's seen a lot of action though, probably the only mech in my drop deck that I've never changed.

With the exception of adding artemis and a module here and there it's the same load out it has always been.

I Suppose when it comes to MW:O, The founders Catapult and the classic CN9-A are my guilty pleasures.

Yes, getting similar experience as you. But in my case its partly my fault. I buy too many 'Mechs. I presently have 20 (20!) 'Mechs in varying degrees of elite and master that am in the process of skilling up, no GXP cheating. I basically play them all, once per day until I get 1st victory bonus, then move on to the next. Outside of challenges I'm never in a fully mastered 'Mech, so this weekend I'm definitely punching above my usual weight damage and kills wise with the Founder variants.

Wow.. That puts things into perspective. You think 20 mechs is too many. I have 120.... I'm a polymechist.

Well, I never became a founder when I had a chance, so no founder mechs here. I did bring out my HBK-4SP again, my first 'mech which I bought back in CB. Doing pretty well, ridiculous cooldown quirks make it a menace up close :D

Amen to that! My first mech as well! I still remember running x5 small lasers and x2 srm4 when SHS were the only game in town.

That's cool.

For me? I know that so far, the only Assautls I have ever liked were (pre nerf) VTRs for Brawling, and my ZEU-6S. For Lights, it's basically my Urbies and my PNT-10K. Only heavy I really like atm, is the Summoner. But for CGBI drops, gotta keep the TBRs (and SCRs). I figure I'll keep my K2 in hopes they someday fix the arms. Jagers, too. The rest? Not gonna miss them.

As for Mediums? Those are the only ones that I am a little wishy washy on.... but I don't like Cicadas or Kintaros, and that ain't changing.

I could pare down my Mech bay (not counting Heros and Package Specials)
PNT-10K
UMR-60. 60L and 63
VND-1AA, SIB
CN9-A, D, AH, Wang
ENF-4R
HBK-4G, J. SP
GRF-2N
SHD-2D2
JM6-DD
CPLT-K2
SMN-P
ON1-VA
AWS-8Q, T
VTR-9S, DS
ZEU-6S
AS7-RS

And never look back.

thanks man, I appreciate that, really. Helped that I was on a team that didn't fold. I have had some up and down matches today. But I do love my 4G.

122 mechs, but no (F)

Most of my mech collecting stardust. Just some IS i play regularly for CW but all my Clanies get all the love they need.

I'm a big Jager Fan, Centies are great and a lot of love for the C1 Catapult.

Regrettably, I don't own the Hunchie-G(F), only grabbed the Atlas, otherwise that would have been my moneymaker all the time. Sort of nice to be back in the old Atlas, stopped playing it when 3 LPLs started giving GH... not too bad, but I do much better in the same build on my Crab or even the Misery (though a bit hotter).

So how about you? Any stories of reliving your CB glory days in your "old and outmoded" Founder's Mechs?

Actually... quite the opposite.

This Founders event has further affirmed that I can't pilot the (F)Atlas out a wet paper bag and I should feel ashamed to call myself a Founder in light of the absolutely abysmal performances I've thus far contributed. <_<

That said... I'm going to soldier on to: a.) Net our necessary wins to have an opportunity to voice our collective opinion. b.) Net my personal challenge booty.

I have no grand delusion with the tournament challenge (Unless they will be giving out the "Worst Atlas Pilot" award... Once I've collected my booty I'm going back to a mech I feel most comfortable with... Either my Zeus or my Ilya or my Quickdraw.

That said, if anyone sees me on the battlefield... any chance to take it easy on me and let my bruised ego heal? ^_^ :P

I am regretting the time I spent ****** PUGs in as a group in my meta-rific Heavy mechs. It makes playing in the solo queue with 'normal' heavies like my catapult unplayable now. I don't even mind playing against good players, but the matchmaker expecting me personally to hold down 1/4 or more of the enemy team's Elo is unrealistic. I have only played one game so far that ended with more than 2 kills for our team.

I'll give it a few more games before I try a different weight class. I know I can carry my weight in mediums, and light and assault are nearly virgin territory. But I am truly sad to lose the Catapult, a nostalgia favorite.

I even threw the LRM back on my C1.

Its still terrible, I can't stand LRM in this game.

not using my Founder's and not gonna use 'em regardless of an event, cause they have no useful weapon quirks. Buff the Founder mechs, not put on an event...
