From http://www.sarna.net:
Triple Strength Myomer (aka TSM) is bulkier and also more expensive than standard Myomer. It can be used in the "muscles" of BattleMechs instead of standard Myomer, and delivers significantly improved performance when the 'Mech has hit a certain heat threshold. Under these conditions the 'Mech will move faster and deal more damage with physical attacks.
This should not be confused with Myomer Acceleration Signal Circuitry, or M.A.S.C., an entirely different technology that is incompatible with TSM but also improves Myomer performance.
Triple Strength Myomer is, however, compatible with the Super Charger device.

I would love to have this. Along with the Super Charger Device. It'd make the Assault `Mechs a little more viable in my opinion, and like all other equipment, can be added and removed at will.
The Triple does not take up tonnage but rather space. If memory serves right, about six critical spaces. However, Super Chargers work the same way as M.A.S.C., but for engines. The more a person uses it; the more chance of an engine failure. One has been warned, so heed at one's peril.

quite a few problems with TSM:
1.) there is two versions - tainted and non-tainted. tainted means some gas in the air, your mech burns.
2.) TSMs main use was the double melee damage bonus. heat the mech to 9/30th heat and then hit them with an axe. i dont see tomahawks on the horizon yet... :/
3.) speed bonus for movement based on temperature will tempt people to arrive hot, overheat and die. you dont want TSM in your team, believe me.

1) Only in lore, in-game exactly 0 effect.
2) So what now?

3) Occasional Leroy Jenkins is not that significant, and heat management is always an important factor, just ask my Nova-Prime
