Non jumping, AC20 packing Enforcer?
Another LaserVomit Grasshopper?
and
A Zeus with a Ballistic AND multi-missile hardpoints?

I don't have a good opinion about the AC20 Enforcer... not taking into account quirks, what can the Wang do that this Enforcer can't, besides Zombie?
No opinion on the Hopper.
The Zeus 5S will add something new to that chassis though. Should be interesting.

it also has no energy weapons. Pack that 300 and you have room for 2 SRM4 in the ct, and what, 2 MG? Unless it gets Huggin grade quirks, whooptydoo.

Enforcer - between a Hunchback-4G and 4H, but uses an XL engine to accomplish the same goal - should be better than the Enforcer-5P easily for those wanting to grind variants (but that's some time away)
Grasshopper - I have no idea where the 3rd energy hardpoint will be, so it is something up in the air. However, it could be the best Grasshopper, the hardpoints are torso-ized, thereby making the arms for shielding very useful. It should be interesting nonetheless...
Zeus - It combines the best of the 6S and the 6T, so it can do either and probably end up being a better brawler overall... so if someone hates a Zeus variant, it's a great option... and would be optimal over avoiding the 9S if you don't like your
All in all, it's more or less like the Phoenix Pack reinforcements... there are better options to play around, which is good... but it makes that Resistance variant look bad more often than not....

Really? Can't see the ENF-4P supplanting the 5D or 4R anytime soon. A nice alternative, but lack of JJs will hurt it as much as an ac20 helps.
PNT we both agree will be meh.
Hopper is not exactly the best arm shield mech. But so many people play with armlock I guess gimped aiming wont matter.
And the Zeus goes counter Meta, by dropping Energy and Ballistics for missiles. It seems more suited for Solo Bads like me than being any kind of upgrade.

It won't... it'll make the Enforcer-5P a terrible option unless you need that UAC5 quirk (5P considered the worst variant).

I feel it's a great variant to grind in some random double XP weekend... but I'm trying to envision some oddball scenario that this would be good...
It has AC2s in the arms stock, so it might need some sort of AC2 ROF buff and a AC2 heat gen reduction (AC2s w/o ghost heat is still hot).

Armlock for this variant would actually make it worse (you can't torso twist optimally when armlock is in use). I rarely bother with armlock under most instances.

Well, if you don't need a Victor (9S) for its JJs and want LRMs... well, there's the option.
Still, this makes the Zeus-9S look worse (converting the 3rd Energy hardpoint for a missile hardpoint would be a better solution, but it's probably too late for that).

so each one MIGHT be better than the worst option. Woo. Such creep.

Enforcer with AC20 will work. Nothing new..but OK.
Grasshoper ..we ll see. Seems OK.
Zeues...depends on the ability to put an AC20 or not.....

I can't say any of the mechs are truly exciting, and to be honest I'm reluctant to buy anything until they make the game more playable, but I suppose for most people $4 per mech would be worth it if only for spare parts and engines.

I do think the Enforcer not being able to jump will be a problem, but it is a Yen Lo Wang with more lasers. It probably cannot aim the arms side to side, so hopefully it gets a wider torso twist angle to compensate like the Wang does. However, that also means you never have to worry too much about convergence on the lasers as well.
I like ballistics, and I may be weird, but my favorite is the AC-10 as it is the most versatile of the auto-cannons. Another gun armed Zeus will suit me fine.

The ballistic arm will probably only have up to 9 free critical slots due to lower arm actuator. You won't be able to put an AC20.

AC/20 Enforcer: We already have better AC/20 mediums (Hunchback 4G, Centurion AH/YLW)
Grasshopper: Meh.
Zeus: Who cares.
Not worth buying both Resistance Packs just for these.

Where to start. Only one that I think is viable enough is the Zeus. Hadn't noticed the Enforcer not having Jump Jets; which is strange in of itself. The 5S is a variant I'm going to love having in my arsenal.
It's possible to do this mod:
AC/10, LA; Ammo x2 (AC/10), LL; Ammo x2 (AC/10), RL; 2 Med. Lasers, LT; 1 Med. Laser, CT; x3 SRM 4, RA; x4 Ammo (SRM), RA.
As for the Hopper, well, judgment will be pass once I get it.
PNT-10P, i read about this variant, sounds kinda of odd to run a Panther with Ballistics. Then, again, it just might prove fun. If one is clever enough, an argument could be made for an AC/5 variant of this `Mech. Maybe.
As for the Enforcer, I'm thinking not having Jump Jets might kill this `Mech before it even gets to us. However, IMO, they should have made it an Energy and Missile variant with Jump Jets instead. If I miss my guess, they're trying to make up for the god-awful 5P.
