So I hit up Sarna but I didn't find an entry for the Star Adder. There's a page for the Adder omnimech and for Clan Star Adder, but none that I can find for a mech named the Star Adder.

Could somebody link me to a page about the mech? Or in lieu of that give some details about the mech and its variants?

I'd like to see some Second-Line `Mech first. Like the IIC and Common types, such as the Hunchback C.

That's because it's not called the Star Adder.

It was developed by the the Star Adder clan. It's called Blood Asp

That link should help XD.

Yeah I'm not sure how I missed that first post... oops?

Really though, christ, I want. That's a pretty kickass loadout - perhaps not 100% 'MWO meta approved' - but I don't care too much about that when the stock build looks that tasty.

It's a 90 ton assault omnimech, with Endo-steel, and an XL 360. That is about as good of a foundation as it can ever get. The engine and frame allow you to slap a LOT of firepower onto the mech. At max armor, you would have roughly 48+ tons of free pod space for weapons, with about 33~ish slots free. This is AFTER factoring in all the hardlocked DHS

Yeah, the first thing that struck me about the Blood Asp when I hit the link was the sheer quantity of open tonnage, followed by the large amount of open crit space as well. Especially with omnipod switching it would be - dare I say it - a superior weapons platform to the Dire Wolf in many ways.

Don't forget 2 configs with ECM, and 2 with jumpjets (1 with both). And need I point out the fantastic gun mounts on those torsos?

Amen!

Those Torso mounts are gonna be as high as, if not higher than, the cockpit.

All we have to do is keep PGI and this game afloat for 8 more years, so go buy some packs.

A CW dropdeck:
  • 2x Blood Asp (with ECM), 180 tonnes
  • 2x Arctic Cheetah (with ECM), 60 tonnes
Total = 240 tonnes of cry inducing mechs

Mech Commander 2.

Blood Asp, oh my favorite.

(Besides dropping a dozen anubis mechs with 1x ppc for the giggles in instant action)
