I was wondering ...if i get right game meant to be released about 2012 summer(Release Date: Q2 2012).We have 2009 teaser (i thought it was ingame movie - silly me ).
Recently we got info from Crytek that mwo will use CryEngine 3.When CryEngine 3 become available for devs?Did they licenses (piranha games) in 2009 or this year when crytek throw info on market that piranha games will use it?
Did they start from scratch?Its possible to change engine in middle of work?Or they work on CryEngine 3 from beggining?
I see cool mech concept art ( i love them !!) but still its only concept art.No ingame screens/movies/trailers.
Dev that made that concept art was hired this year.Isnt that mean that if release date is accurate game would have a only year development time?Or game will be released later...

The trailer released in '09 was an in game video of the engine they were using then. After everything was said an done they are goin a completely different direction now. Jumping from 3015 to 3049, and using the crytek engine (which is good news) since the crytek engine is very user friendly and easy to mod. So even tho Q2 2012 sounds soon the ease of the cry engine means code will be flying all over the place
