Does anybody have a fix for this? Nothing seems to be working for me. I just got ac40'd because as I came around the corner in front of him my game minimized. Unplayable atm.

Greetings,
Check 'task manager' and see what is running in the background.
- One solution from the mystery minimizing problem.
"opened Task Manager and found that the file named: "wermgr.exe" (Windows Problem Reporting) It just opens and closes over and over again. Pressed the start button and searched for "Choose how to report problems" and then clicked it and then I clicked "Never check for solutions", which fixed everything." (no more full screen minimizing as that program does it's thing.)
- Also check that a 'changing desktop background' is not taking priority and dropping the 'full screen program' when it transitions.
- Was there any error or warning displayed after the minimizing?
- after the game was minimized, were you looking at the normal desktop? Or another program?
There's also the event manager which shows what happens and when, that may lead to what program or even triggered the 'full screen' closure.
As a note here: many programs have settings within them for warnings, events, checks, windows issues, high priority use programs. They all can be set to 'quite mode' so they still function but don't display a pop-up when there is an event.
Just some ideas,

Is it minimizing out of nowhere or by action, esp. mouse clicking?
Running tripple monitor but game just on main one, cause by tabbing to browser / teamspeak / mediaplayer.. sometimes the mouse doesn't hook to MWO. Resulting in it being on the desktop, therefore MWO will completely lose focus by a left/right click. Happily you can at least see that you're dying when running in full window instead of fullscreen.
Also lot of other issues I had with running mutli displays was "solved" by running full window. So just when the game starts I make sure that the cursor is hooked, like the fist 10 seconds of game. Either by checking if it's possible to get to the other screen or by alt tabbing out and in again to be 100% sure
