I have read the Dev threads on Community Warfare and can see that most of the battles will be fought through the timeline from 3048 with the different Factions.
Either it be by battles that are part of the timeline as core planets, ones that can be fought over as part of the Faction's enabled planets, through the contracts given to Mercs or through its own participation in the protection/control of outlying planets.
Whereas the Merc Corps earn LP and can then participate in bidding on the protection/control contracts from the outlying planets not involved in the timeline or part of the Factions controlled planets. This looks like just a small percentage of the battlefield action in the Factions.
So the obvious action will occur most within the Factions unless they are elminated by timeline events which brings up that question. Can your Faction be removed due to a timeline event?
Which Faction will have the most action in this timeline and will get the most battles?

Which Faction will have the most Battles in this timeline?

FRR. Everyone around them is trying to slit their throat and then Clans come and do it themselves.

I think that gives the IS Factions a couple of years on this timeline. So that is long way off and many battles between.

Maybe this is a good Dev question

It's pretty much a free-for-all. Though there are only minor conflicts between the Great Houses, every major faction has internal strife within their borders that requires attention. Not to mention the perpetual minor skirmishes on the borders between the great houses, and assorted proxy wars.

So no house is eliminated during the timeline?
It would be logical to think that the Faction with the most planets should have the most chances for battles to crop up or the possibility of the greatest number of battles.

No faction is eliminated if we are sticking to canon... however, be advised that within the first couple years of the Clan invasion, the FRR will have lost 90% of its territory to them. Again, that is if MWO sticks to canon. If alot of crazy stuff happens within the first year of the game, like territories shifting to the point where Kurita is now in the position to recieve the brunt of the Clan invasion, then who knows how everything will play out. I for one hope that the FRR will be in a better position to defend against the Clans when they do come, but until then, we have more pressing concerns.

Yeah, seems like life in FRR is going to be a constant battle. Just more target practice and fun, if you ask me.
Things will get really interesting after a year or so when tankborn will start their invasion. Oh, well. If we get lucky, we'll be among the first looting some juicy omnimechs and tech. Come on, Summ... oh, I mean Thor!

Ah. I see. With Free Rasalhague Republic having to fight down to their last few planets, they could be in a constant state of war. Nice
Sounds like a great place to be.

Combat in the BT/MW universe has consistently centered on the border areas between the major staes. This area is in constant flux, even in "peace time". Given that our fights will be 12 v12, this is the perfect arena. Our fights will mean something other than the simple number of mechs destroyed (at least when the community warfare begins in earnest).
