I kind of want to hear of the beautiful dreams and perverted visions of my fellow mechwarriors. If you could make a Hero mech, any mech, with any hardpoints and any quirks, what would you unleash upon us all? No need to be realistic, though vague attempts at some remote resemblance of balance are appreciated.

Since I started playing after the (L) KGC's were no longer available, I'd make money maker version of my favourite mech with quirks for my favourite weapons:

KGC - Pseudocarcinus gigas

2 ballistic hardpoints in each arm
2 energy hardpoints in each side torso
No missile hardpoints

TORSO TURN RATE (YAW): 25.00 %
ADDITIONAL ARMOR (LA): 17.00
ADDITIONAL ARMOR (RA): 17.00
BALLISTIC VELOCITY: 7.50 %
BALLISTIC COOLDOWN: 7.50 %
LASER DURATION: -10.00 %
GAUSS RIFLE COOLDOWN: 7,5%
LARGE PULSE LASER RANGE: 7.50 %

  • Jester without the ridiculous Alice in Wonderland camo pattern

I'd add Jump Jets to the TDK and Oxide, a max of five is where I'd start and bump up the Huginn to five (at least three for sure).

Then with the LCT-1V, I'd add an ballistic hardpoint to each arm (so six total afterwards) and remove the added bike rack from the front cockpit view.

Wolverine with an AC20 capable right arm, 2 energy hardpoints in each side torso, head energy hardpoint and 6 jj's. Quirks: 10% armor buff to ST and right arm.

aidan's summoner while being prime i.e. ppc + cannon + a missile launcher had ams and a med laser, possible in the torsos

Two AC20s, four medium pulse lasers, ecm and move at around 80kph at least. Dunno if that exists already.

Atlas II...
•AS7-D-H Kerensky The custom version used by Nicholas Kerensky, this version of the Atlas II retains the weapon array of the original but swaps the Inner Sphere components for more advanced Clan equivalents. It also adds a second SRM launcher. All the missile systems are equipped with Artemis IV fire control systems. Double heat sinks were replaced with their less bulky Clan equivalents and increased to nineteen. The ferro-fibrous armor protection remains the same, but again was replaced by more compact Clan version. To handle electronic warfare duties, a small ECM Suite and Active Probe were added to the center torso. For paint job it would look like the green A-10 thunderbolt.
Green, Olive and Drab Blue camo with the teeth and eye decals around the cockpit.

Weapons
LT 4x Mlasers
RT 4x Mlasers
RA 1x LLaser

Those would also be the only hardpoints
4 energy mounts in each torso and 1 mount in the right arm

Quirks
Additional Structure RT and LT 15
Medium Laser range +25%
Large Laser cooldown 10%
Energy Heat Generation -10%
Airstrike + 5 bombs

*do not use generic energy quirks or you'll get a better chasis for a medium pulse boat than the 5ss

Centurion with RA LBX10 (30% Cooldown + 30% Spread Quirk), 3ML in Head + CT (20% Cooldown) and LT 3xSRM2 (50% range) + 3JJ + DHS + ES @~85 to 90 kph.Std Engine.

Leg+CT+RT Structure +20
RA Armor +20

Colours are Black + a rather deep n dark Purple with Ornaments in Silver.

And the Mech is called "The Man":


PS: Would be nice to use Clantech for a Hero: CL-UAC20, 3xERML, 3xCL-SRM4 and a Clan-XL - that would make me a happy Centurion Pilot again! ;)
