Ahh, you must have found my posts in another thread then.
Something you and the rest of the turds/bads don't realize is that I don't give a damn about the standard "laser vomit" builds as they were not the strongest builds anyway--Gauss and mediums have always been the best. Nor were they my favorite--while not a build seen/used in competitive play my favorite Timberwolf was always PPC/Gauss. Even short range brawling builds utilizing SPLs (builds complained about by no one) got hosed in this deal though I don't know why people would specifically complain about the CLPL/CERML builds as being "too strong" in the first place as they clearly were not and once again were inferior to Gauss + CERML. I don't know what your screenshots are supposed to be showing--if I produce a dozen 1000+ damage matches int he solo queue in a Gargoyle does that mean it needs some nerfs too?
I am against any nerfs/negative quirks of any kind whatsoever. Laser duration nerfs in particular (seriously, clan lasers already have long burn times) I find to be distasteful especially when they attach them to any pod with an E hardpoint so even if you want to use just one freaking laser, you are getting some red text in the 'mechlab. Continuing to see PGI cater to the "least common denominator" and cave in to QQ from **** players that don't know what they are talking about is getting old. Even people that were QQing are saying this isn't what they had in mind--which is why I always warned against QQ because when change does come it is never what you want. There are shitbirds already posting about how pleased they are with these nerfs and that they hope the HBR and DWF get some soon as well and want several Wave 3 'mechs to come pre-nerfed--this is the kind of stupidity I am sick of seeing.
My favorite and most face stomping 'mech is the Dire Wolf anyway and not the TBR--I can continue on playing this game and shitstomping bads in the group queue the same as always but the fact of the matter is that this most recent patch was just the latest example of PGI showing their ass yet again and how clueless they are. So many people have walked away from the game recently for issues I have never argued with, yet I stuck around because of my love of mechwarrior. I have to go though because every time I logged in and scrolled down the past the 'mechs I would no longer be using (I would refuse to use any of these pods with neg quirks now just out of principle) it would just infuriate me and remind me of PGI shoving a giant **** in our collective asses
Not to mention for a while now I have been feeling a certain level of shame for pouring in (and continuing to do so) way more money than what can get you into a legit, AAA title despite the terrible state of the game (years old bugs, invisible walls, etc the same crap everyone complains about) as it made me feel like "mark" or a "sucker" for PGI's "cash in on nostalgia" plan. These most recent "changes" were just enough of a push to finally make me walk away like so many others have done.
Yes, I could have just done a chargeback on Wave 3 right away if I do not care about getting banned but I am a pretty generous guy and thought I would at least attempt a refund at first so that its possible my account doesn't get locked and I can give it away to someone. Since the opening of the gift shop I donated many of the individual 'mechs to buddies and what not--my account has about 75 clan 'mechs on it with 12 'mech bays open and about 600 million c-bills worth of modules and it would have been nice to gift it away instead of just getting it locked. I am determined to collect my Wave 3 money back though and if I can't get it from them willfully then the chargeback WILL be happening.....you can use all the kindergarten language you want as whether or not it happens is up to PGI.
TL/DR: Like 1000s of people, I have been disappointed with PGI for a long time for mostly the same reasons---poor quality, endless delays that stretch into over a year, still very much an unfinished game, etc and this was just the last straw to send me away with all of the others that have left this game. Looking back at "CW 90 days after launch" and all of the planned features of CW and seeing where we are halfway through 2015 pretty much makes my case.
