I was just thinking about Clan AC's and all the complaints regarding them. Let's be brutally honest here, as much as a single shot C-UAC/20 would be awesome, it is pretty game breaking. No matter how much you try and justify it or attempt to "balance it", it is intrinsically OP.
So that got me thinking about the current Clan UAC's and I find myself kind of liking the concept that we currently have. I've become pretty adept at the C-UAC/20 and I can put out quite a lot of damage with it. It's also reasonably enjoyable to use but could perhaps use a slight buff to projectile speed.
So, single shot Clan AC's. I see no balance issues or any other reason why the non-ultra Clan AC's can't be single shot just like the IS equivalent. The IS has its own UAC/5 and it should stay as it is. Clan UAC's can stay as they are in their multi-shot guise (with a suggested buff to projectile speed) and Clan AC's can simply be added in single shot format.
Probably been discussed and touched on before but I don't have a twit and don't go on reddit so sorry if I'm dredging up stuff that's already been confirmed/denied/etc.

i really dont want clan ultras to be single shell weapons, im also happy with clan lbs for the most part. if anything it adds some character to the otherwise boring weapon options we have. i have my doubts that we will ever see new weapons.
but i think something needs to be done to the clan (not ultra) acs to make them a functional weapon system. since clan ultras have reliable double tap, there is almost no point at all to use the standard ac, especially since there is no weight or podspace savings. im thinking longer burst durations with more delay between individual slot and a shorter cooldown, or go full auto, would make it a good sustained fire weapon.

Funny thing about Clan ACs: they were originally meant as a stopgap measure until PGI could get ammo switching into the game. Ammo switching is still not here and rumor is it might never be.

you dont need to remind me of that travesty. but pgi needs to figure out what its gonna do about those placeholders. if they are hear to stay make them useful. ignoring the problem wont make it go away.

Remove CAC, buff CUAC, tighten the spread on CLBX.
