In all honesty, Resistance 1 didn't make as much of an impact as I thought it would, but I very much enjoy the Enforcer and the Grasshopper. They're enough of a game changer to me to find them fun and enjoyable.
Even without quirks, the Black Knight and Mauler look vicious and formidable, so just imagine what they'll do -with- quirks.
EDIT: Adding to my post
The problem with the Zeus is that is has the unfortunate situation of being an 80-ton Assault. Its 5 tons too heavy to be a Heavy, and 5 tons too light to be a formidable Assault. I've always seen 80-tonners being the odd man out because of this. They're like the 20~25 ton lights of the assault world: too lightly armored with not enough firepower to justify the tonnage of taking one.
As for the Grasshopper, its a different kind of heavy. People bash it because of how tall it is, but if you actually see one on the battlefield, the thing is actually pretty spindly and lanky, making it pretty hard to hit. This, coupled with the variant that can travel 92kph with the max engine size in it, makes for a deadly skirmisher. 6 medium pulse lasers on that thing and you've got a semi-slow moving light trapped in a heavy's body (with the armor of a heavy), with the firepower of a medium. To me, its a match made in heaven. For others, I guess it just wasn't what they wanted.
The Enforcer...Now, this thing is beautiful. its everything good about a Centurion, with everything good about a Shadowhawk, rolled into a single mech. Anyone who loves both the Shadow Hawk and the Centurion will absolutely adore the Enforcer.
Panther is meh. Plain and simple.
Thats my breakdown of Resistance 1. You can take it into consideration for Resistance 2 if you like, but honestly, like what Captain Planet keeps saying as his slogan: "The power is yours."
