Well, Im quite new here, but Id like to ask one thing.
I know, this game is running for some years. Reading the pings from all games, i can say, i see 60-70% pings from EU region.

Seems most of the current players are from EU region (or maybe US with bad ping ?

Would it better to place main game server into Eu region then ?.......

And was it like that all the time ?

thx.

Most are USA, but of course it is timezone dependant and there are peak EU times while US players arent on.

They only has one server location in Canada, which is why few have fantastic pings.

The problem with more servers is that the games population isn't big enough to be split apart into regional servers, plus the extra costs.

The companys ultimate goal is supposedly to put the game on Steam where it would get an influx of players which they would hopefully retain a percentage of.
If they do that then regional servers would probably work, at least for the first month.

Extra costs wouldn't be much higher, because you would have less players on the Canadian servers, meaning less money spent there.

As per a recent No Guts No Galaxy podcast: if you had different servers it would split the player base, and the game isn't large enough to handle that split. So whilst you're pings would improve a bit your wait time for a game would go up far more and the increased imbalance of Elo / skill levels would make the game less fun.

Also the same reason more game modes aren't being added: too many baskets to fill with the number of players we currently have.

aha, and the goal, with steam, has some timeplan already, or its only an idea ?
It could bring new players, but the game is more for hardcore fans, then for casuals, i think.
