That leaves me out, I live on the other side of the country. Though I would love to meet the Staff, I would rather put the money I would have to spend in airfare in their pockets. Oh how I wish this was being held at an AMD chip plant in Malta NY.

Is the beer Canadian? If so, IMO it would be that much more incentive to go.

I could make it... Since I live in the Central Valley. That said, I'd probably prefer to take Amtrak... So that'd run me $70-something for a round trip without taxes for travel, not including taxi... Could probably get a room in the $60 range that isn't a rundown motel.

However, even if this is cheaper than most to attend... none of the PGI staff are going to attend? Who are these "staff" then? The Event staff that Nvidia hires to do promo events? or the Nvidia staff that works at the Santa Clara office? I suppose if it was the latter, it'd be interesting, especially with my foray into electrical. But still... mildly disappointing.

Can't Paul at least be there so we can leg his mech?

I just wish that if Nvidia pays the entry to the event, PG would sponsor the winner/winners hotels & transportation, it would only be fair...

SJC is a fairly cheap airport to fly to. Lots of flights from Burbank, CA for ~200 bucks round trip if you book it a few weeks in advance.

I've been to the NVIDIA campus a couple times when I was living and working in San Jose (Campbell, actually) and it's a pretty sweet building. Nokia is right down the road from them, as are Cisco, Sony-Ericsson, etc.
