I know it doesn't really affect the gameplay but it would be a nice touch and isn't hard to implement.
It might also give players more incentive to buy full patterns instead of just one-shots.

What if we had the option to save different camouflage settings for each map individually?

Very true, and I liked this functionality in a couple other armored warfare games I have played. It really helps with immersion too since your camo fits the scene.
