I'd go Hunchbacks if your going to buy them for cbills. They don't require XL engines to be effective. If buying with MC, I agree that Resistance 40$ pack from I or II will do you well.

Sweet, glad you are enjoying it. Now start grinding with the hero.. earn those extra c-bills! for your XP unlocks, grind to basics, then get an extra 8,500 and switch to another one. Once all 3 are there you can unlock speed tweak to finish your grind through elites..

you know i didn't notice that, so in that since you are exactly right.. I own the 2A, but i really wish i had the 2B, I just love pulse!

nice that mech will also help you earn GXP.. I'd save your first 15k gxp for a radar deprivation module, it is something you are gonna wan't for many mechs. you can just swap it around. After that you might want to start thinking about what weapons you are really enjoying and saving to get a weapon module or two.

Mastery Packs are by far the best value.

For a new player I'd recommend a Heavy Mech, so that you can tank a bit of damage, without being as immobile as an Assault.

EDIT: Shawk is a great Mech, too. It plays a bit like a 'lightish Heavy', actually, and tanks well beyond its weight class should.
