So, is time to bump up engine caps on older IS mechs yez?
I love the Honeybadger IIC-Prime and Honeybadger IIC-D.
I loved the Honeybadger of old. And those builds are my Honeybadgers. The Nostalgia. The Memories. The Butt Diddling. The Crotch Punching. The Full on Face Bumping Chest Grinding.
I really want the 8Q of old with an XL400 and 7MPLs. I want the old XL350 9SL Hunchbacks.
Mechs I wish had higher engine caps:
-Black Jack
-Vindicator
-Cents
-Hunchbacks
-Awesomes
-Stalkers
-Highlanders
Especially the Awesomes. I want the Awesomes to get their 400 engines back. Because reasons. Like Honeybadger.

I just want an XL400 Highlander because it sounds silly,in all seriousness tho,HGN would benefit from 360-375 engine cap greatly.

Highlander? I'd love to see it. Centurions? Probably not, because it just means more MG+SRM6 Zombie mechs.
The other mechs I don't have an opinion about, except that the Awesome's running animation is pretty bad and it just looks and sounds bad when going at high speeds. Maybe its because its legs are rather short, or the animators felt it would be wrong if it took long strides. Whatever it is, the massive Awesome moves by taking lots of tiny steps, like a hippo ballerina. It looks quite the opposite of intimidating, and it sounds like "THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP!". Like someone dribbling a basketball.
I never take an engine bigger than 325 for my AWS-9M. Looks too stupid, and the sound drives me nuts.

I just had so much fun in my 7 ML, XL400 AWS-8Q until people whined and got it nerfed. Then they gave us the 9M and I ran an 4 LL, 1ML, XL360 AWS-9M.

I've wished for a higher cap since forever ago. Although I'd personally use an XL350 because it's 1.5 tons lighter than the 360 and would get the mech moving 73.8kph with speed twerk and the +5% speed quirk.

Bumping most up to the next engine tier closest to their cap would improve alot of mechs.
Blackjacks, with 235 cap, bump to 250.
Stalkers up to 325
Highlander to 350
Cataphract 4x up to 275.
Along those lines.
and only for the ones that need it.

I agree with a lot of the stuff written above but this grabbed my attention. Blackjacks need a boost. 250 sounds right.
The Vindicator 1R /1X needs the 250 too. Right now the 1R is the Vindicator variant that doesn't really excel at anything at all.
The 1X is the worst of the lot. Look at how much popular the other variants are. 1AA and the SIB hero are ones that gets used while the 1R/1X are just there for mastering purposes.

I wish most IS mechs had higher engine caps. I back your plan.
