Need a little advice please!

I've mastered the TBR, but have no other clan mechs.

I have about 19 million c-bills. What clan mech(s) should I buy during this sale?

DWF: Seems like it would be fun to take a ride with all that firepower once in a while... Even the stupid trial build seemed quite fun! It's also the biggest savings during the sale. But I don't think I want to take the trouble to grind enough to master... which sucks coz it's so slow by default. (As a counterpoint, I just had my best MWO game ever in my basic Atlas DDC... 153 match score with 1178 damage, so I know some good stuff can be done even with a slow assault!)

HBR: Having a heavy with ECM seems fun, and I wouldn't be too far from being able to buy 3 eventually to master. But I already have the TBR, so would it really add that much more fun?

SCR: I've read so much good stuff about this mech... can get 3 during the sale probably to master.

I don't really have interest in any others, especially not clan lights. But I'm open to suggestions!

Thank you!

Stormcrow: Cheezy but definitely good. Havent played it post nerf fyi.
Adder: Hit or miss, but fun if you like the panther.
Nova: Hit or miss again, you need to act as support to be useful-- not a frontline mech
Kit Fox: Wayyyyyy too underrated. I love it-- ECM capable is also a plus, but it doesn't need it to be effective.
Mad Dog: Very nice support mech, can run cheezy builds but does fine with diversity too.
Summoner: Looking to buy it soon-- it has promise I'd say....
Hellbringer: Delicious but probably will be nerfed soon. It plays way differently than a timber, and I'd say it's more fun. Running a "stock+" (2 ERPPC, 3 ML, SSRM, 2MG, ECM) is a blast.

Stormcrow is the best deal... as you'll make up quite a bit of money when trying to master it.

You won't have enough for bigger mechs, given the C-bill difference you'll have to make up.

I got 20 million right now but since I do not play MWO as often as before, but I'm saving them for the Black Jag come August. Eff the boring Hellbringer. I want my 65 tonner to be able to carry triple CUAC5 or dual CUAC20/Goose with enough ammo.

It's all about character, baby.

I saved up 45M cbills just waiting for this specific offer. The last time clan mechs were on cbil sale it was only 25%.

I am going to get the SCR and the HBR.

I own wave 3, so no sense getting KF, Add or IF.

happy shopping!

two things:

Obviously as it is based on a percentage, the biggest mechs have the biggest savings. I personally unloaded for the DWF to add to my Wave 1 pack mechs. it was like 6.something million c-bills saved. So there is that. It put me right down to basically broke, but 6 million cbills is a chunk of change to save on grinding.

If you don;t have any other of the same chassis though, OOmph, the thought of saveing to buy the other 2 at non sale price is pretty daunting. IMO, if you are just getting into clans, buy whatever you have enough for 3 of. Can you afford 3 Crows? Do it. Only one DWF? eeeehhhhh.... keep in mind the other two you will need, its like 34 million cbills to grind then.

SCR>DWF>HBR

Medium queue is faster than heavy queue so SCR beats the HBR there.

ECM is really good but SCR and HBR have about the same weapon space. I run both with 1 LPL and 6erML rest the space heat sinks.

DWF has a faster queue time than the HBR and carries a **** ton more, an epic amount of weapons.

Stormcrow without a doubt. Probably the best mech in the game, even after the recent nerfs.

now up 3 crows and a ferret. total savings is about 15 million cbills. i hope i can either make another 6 million before the sale ends. its possible thanks to premium time i won earlier tonight.

maybe i can master my crabs and sell one before the sale is over. other mechs on my chopping block are a catapult and one of my tbolts (the not champion), and i might chop them in that order if i need too. i also sold a bunch of unused equipment to buy the last ferret, so thats not an option, but maybe i can get rid of some redundant omnipods, those are worth a lot.

Bought the jumping Dire Wolf. Did it just for 3 omnipods, maybe a mistake...only way to test if 3 jj are viable for a Dire Wolf...

managed to buy 9 mechs. 3 crows, 3 ferrets ( <3 ) and 3 lynxes. idk how i managed to pull it off but i did.

most of the money i got liquidating mechs i dont use (usually ones i bought so i could master the other varients i like) and weapons/equipment that i have way too much of. i also managed to fill up all 41 of my mech bays.

If you don't have a problem beeing extremely slow then take the Direwolf. It's fun wrecking faces with the firepower of multiple mechs combined. 2Gauss/2LPL/4ERML is brutal. 6 UAC/5 is pretty fun, too. And if you like it exotic: 4 UAC/10 - 4ERML are pretty badass.
Sadly, the Direwolf is damn near useless in CW and suffers from teams which leave you alone to die and complain afterwards why the stupid direwolf died alone. Nascar is a b*tch.

Between the Stormcrow and the Hellbringer... it's pretty close. But I would take the Stormcrow. It can mount almost any build and everyone and their grandma currently have ECM now, so it's hard to not be in ECM cover. Even if you don't have ECM. It's also damn fast and has glitchy hitboxes. Yes, the nerfs are annoying but it is still a powerhouse.

Already had Stormcows, Kit Foxes, and Summoners, so I went with 3 Hellbringers. Had to liquidate some old IS mechs that I hadn't used in over a year...and I don't regret it at all. I'm even using two of the Hellbringers with no ECM since I had to scape the bottom of my account to get the third one, and I'm still having fun with them.

Summoners are really fun if you like flanking and moving a lot. There are also in line for a buff maybe, but definitely won't be hit with the nerfbat any time soon. (I hope)

I went with the DWF. I bought three of them, earning enough after basic'ing each one to buy the next. It has stupid levels of firepower. I can't believe this is how this mech works after seeing it on the field so long. You just point at something with your 4 UAC 10s and it melts right in front of your eyes.

Sure, there is the odd game when I get left behind and jumped by 3 lights, but I can usually kill at least one of them with a couple hundred damage. Most games, though, it's 700+ damage and at least 4 kills.

This mech is like Lenny, and every other mech is a rabbit.
