PGI,

I am a long time, if not one of the original supporters of this game. Recently I have had some difficult times in my life and I have said some emotional things on Twitter regarding MWO and PGI. Honestly, I have mixed feelings on whether PGI is capable of making the game that I wanted; funded, and was promised. However, I have recently started playing again. I have mainly come back because I have friends who still play and I still love the Mechwarrior IP. I know that PGI is a relatively small development group, which is why your prices are high and development is slow, but no one else has been able to make a mainstream MW game in years.

Anyway, I will play this game and not take things so seriously; hell, I might even invest in Resistance 2 (since I will not buy any more hamstrung "Clan" mechs).

Keep up the good work, and I hope that you will be able to replace the talented people who have left PGI for greener pastures recently. Also, please add the Mercenary faction to CW.

Regards,

Ed Steele

P.S. - I have deleted my Twitter account, because nothing that I say is really that important anyway,

Seriously, the only reason that I made a Twitter account is because PGI chose to communicate through the (heavily) moderated Twitter and Reddit, rather than their own forums. Yes, recently they have started to make better use of their own forums, so I hope that that will be the trend in the future,

I wouldn't say "high prices" are the mark of a small studio...

Maybe i don't understand why you are responding to that with that but....

Well if its small why do they need to charge so much? wouldn't a large studio charge more in order to cover their base cost of operations? I'm not saying they are small, medium, or large... i have no idea the size of the company. All i know is that the OP considers their prices high, and their studio small, and justifies the high price because of the small company size. Although... i would think that a large studio would charge more due to how much they have to pay out in staff, and also the number of small indie companies do not charge triple AAA prices as evidenced by many companies on steam.

Are we arguing, agreeing, misunderstanding sarcasm or disagreeing? wtf is going on here...

Ah, so much the MWO forums, we create conflicts when there are none. Like I said, this is a game, I am no longer taking it seriously. Play MWO when you feel like, play something else when you don't, or even do something offline **gasp**.

Pricing is based on market capacity and what the consumer will bear. Studio size is a factor, but not the way you imply.
