So, with Clan Wave 3 coming out, the Shadow Cat (Who I mistook as a Lanner at first. What? She had many Lanner-like properties) will be making her red-carpet debut on the field as another icon of the MW series. Not to jump too far into the future here, but would anyone be supporting of the addition of the Black Lanner in a possible Wave 4? Ever since I first used her in Mechwarrior 4: Mercs, she's been a personal favorite of mine and possibly many others.

So, this begs the question, would anyone be for and/or against the addition of this beautiful but under-rated Mech? She just wants some love.

I've always wondered what the jade falcon mech designers were thinking when they made that thing. If it had been 5 tons lighter it would have had about 2 tons more weight available for weapons and stuff not to mention more space on the drop ship for other things. Not that optimal weight and stuff matters in mwo. In mwo, the thing would be a monster for anti light and anti medium duty. Not to mention a deadly flanker and back stabber with 6 ERML and ECM.

Which could make her a better choice for those who want to choose middle ground between a Raven and, say a support Mech like the Mad Dog. It could run interference but also be able to kick back when she's attacked....plus, you team it up with something nearly as fast like the Stormcrow, you'd pretty much have MWO's version of "None shall pass!" Also, you could get a Lance together with the Lanner, Raven, Stormcrow, and Vulture and be a team of birds, but that's beside the point.

Sorry, no. Even before this thread came about, I remain convinced the Grendel should be the next Medium even before the Dragonfly.
Gives a decent 45 ton fighter for those who feel the Scat was bad for them.
Clans do not have many Mechs with high weapon mounts, Grendel has that all over except one arm.
Can mount a really good mix and amount of weapons.
Could well become the Clan Blackjack.

the black lanner comes out for the clans in 3052 it was a mech used alot by jade falcon and made on ironhold so it defiantly needs to be added as it did see combat on the chaos march is further reason why the mech should be added

the weapons systems are fixed
they add the black lanner
they add LAMS
and the game becomes cannon like it was advertised to be originally

I would love to give the Black Lanner a try. While I might not spend any money on it, I would probably get it sometime. I've already gotten the Bushmaster Package and am a little short on green backs right now. Spent it on getting some gaming supplies: Pepsi, chips, pizza, etc.

But overall, this is one of the Mechs I am wanting to see.

And if we are going on the subject of adding Clan 55 tonners in MWO, the Stooping Hawk, Rabid Coyote, and Vapor Eagle should be in this game as well.

The announced clan medium, "should be" the lanner or the grendel, praying the light is the howler or a 20tonner period

What's the point of more useless 55ts? No faction for 55s

Useless? Ok, Rabid Coyote you got me (unless PGI decides to make their own new variants). But the Vapor Eagle(BattleMech) and Stooping Hawk(OmniMech) are useless clan 55 tonners? Look up their variants and then get back to me on how useless they are. At least the Stormcrow would have some buddies equal to its tonnage.

And tbf, 360 tt should be enabled for the mechs that should have it, and the ones that shouldn't tt like the nova (it's legs are the shoulders) should be fixed but it's pgi, we can hope dream and wish all we want but they'll do what they want in the end quiaff? Well if it is pgi they want money:so mechpacks and false promises? Eh fp needs more work than can be listed, mm needs work, animation needs work, engine needs work, and so on
Eh I'll be here when it shuts down, hopefully after a fifteen year lifespan minimum, if it lasts that long after mw5 takes anyone with it that's tired and wants coop, or pve lol

Well with the Nova having a pelvis opposed to it's TT counterpart, you need to ask yourself, do I want viability or novelty? Because that was the main reason for that mech having a pelvis. If we had jump jets that would let us zig-zag all around, then I would agree with you on the design, but this ain't Mechwarrior 2. Even the Kit Fox had to undergo this change for viability. I do agree with you that much more work needs to be done though instead of pushing out mechpacks. I'd love to see more content like maps, FP improvements, and such just to beat the repetitive nature out of this game. That's mostly a reason why I've been staying away from the current mechpack shtick. Anything minor or major is a welcome change for this game regardless. That's why I'm still (and will be) here.

On a positive note "positive being the operative word there", they announced four new maps, two will be Solaris only, one big **** off tall building city map, and a hpg/tourmaline ******** stepchild (like half the size?),they are calling it crater I think, someone mentioned it the other day, I want that city, then the urbies would have the home field advantage, I can see teams hiding annihilators and direwhales round corners and no lrms or atms in sight, a true city fight. The other two maps are gonna be 4x4 or 2x2?
