This thread made me recheck some of the MWLL Youtube videos and I got the impression that the maps are far more open. This seems to create an effect that there's more movements on the battlefield and less hide and poke games. That the Jump Jets let your 'mechs be able to jump really high also reinforce the fluidity of the matches.

This makes me wonder though, how can slow brawler type 'mechs like Atlai exist in MWLL? Were I to pilot a Stormcrow on MWLL maps but using MWO 'mechs, I imagine that I could kite an Atlas until the cows come home.

There's a HUGE difference in games with unlimited respawns and those with just one life. An MWLL map would be absolutely horrible in MWO, since you'd spend all your time maneuvering and if you happened into a 2v1 situation, you'd just be screwed.

The game functions very different too MWO the Storm crow in MWLL has some draw backs too it. A few well placed shots by the Atlas powerful weapons can stop a Stormcrow in its tracks. The game mechanics are all different so it plays out nothing like MWO every thing works different. From the radar , damage system , heat , electronics and more. The Atlas like most mechs in the game are build on variety load outs with only 1 variant being dedicated too brawling but that 1 variant has double LAMS , and GECM too help it get in close and avoid being detected. All mechs have their strengths and weaknesses no mech or tank is perfect in all situations.
