It really pisses me off that I don't have a choice to change mech camo on the "special" mechs. For instance I really want the Shadow cat (my most favorite mech ever!!!!) That has the exact hardpoint layout I want in a scat. But im stuck with that god awful paint job. This alone has stopped me from making a purchase. Anyone else out there feel the same? Or am I just expecting to much from pgi?

Yeah, it's pretty silly. But if a paintjob alone is deterring you, you might want to rethink your priorities. Hell, you can recolor grey it if you really want.

Is there something special on the Prime CT? You can always just put prime omni-pods on a different variant and paint that one.....

Take screen shot of Scat painted just like you want it, put it on second monitor, play in prime and pretend you look like the screenshot to your right.


I don't know, being a sensible adult, I don't really care that much about one variant having the Invasion paint scheme. To each's own though.

TBH, I think the Invasion variant is better off than the "stock" unpainted variant..

It's too much freaking shades of gray that I don't care about (and I'm not going to buy more camos directly anyways - I'd rather get them indirectly from the packs).

To the OP, you'll just have to wait till the prime becomes MC or c-bill avaliable and those you can put what ever skin or color you want. Just (I) mechs are fixed at the moment but they will be able to use faction paints skins soon.
