So if North America's ping is now equal to Australia, what does Australia's ping now look like? Are they now resorting to sending data packets by mail because it's faster?

Well the situation is actually worse right now. In normal conditions Aussie players with 300+ fight with players with 100+ ping. Now its players with 400+ pings playing against other players with 400+ ping. LOL!

LRM boats are already in with some people.

I've been through worse pings than you aussies... for more than a year... and during closed beta, when no HSR was around.
Talking about 330ms pings in the middle east. I don't think you would want a taste.
