As Loremaster of Clan Wolf International, I feel it is in our best interest to ensure our Clan remains as transparent as possible, and to provide reassurance to both current players and prospective applicants that we take cheating as a very serious offense.

Some of you have already recognized a few of the player's names banned today as members of CWI, either here or on reddit, but for those who did not, 3 of our members were found guilty of cheating and subsequently banned. Those three were:

- Kellen Wolf
- bazilbrush
- JT Black (Left us about a month ago, but for the purposes of this thread, he was a CWI member.)

CWI is very thankful to PGI for bringing these members to our attention, and (if needed) will fully cooperate with any investigations for misconduct by any of our players.

We take cheating very seriously. It is an affront to the very values that unite us as a Clan, damages our reputation, and soils our accomplishments. Upon hearing the news, our leadership acted swiftly, deactivating the involved party's forum accounts, and suspending their teamspeak server groups. We will carry on with our own internal investigation and at least two of our members will face a full Trial by Clan Council, if for nothing more than to find the full truth behind the situation.

CWI hopes this situation will not dissuade others from joining our unit. We strive to accommodate players of various skill levels, and will continue to promote excellence and good sportsmanship amongst our members. We will review our policies regarding cheating with current and future members, and will be ever vigilant to ensure our members continue to play at the highest levels of professionalism and sportsmanship.

Sincerely,
Aresye Kerensky (by direction)
Loremaster, Clan Wolf International

Well said, Loremaster.

Only the dezgra and the unskilled warrior feels he needs to use hacks to improve his performance.

It is a shame that those three were cheaters, i was especially shocked by one of them..

I was not surprised by any of those.

A few reasons why I held back from joining CWI.

**** stinks.

So 3 players, out of the 200+ that CWI has, and the whole unit stinks?

You had my respect for your tenacity in combat. Even more now with your frank honesty here. I salute you for your efforts to keep this mature and take ownership. I wish you luck Mr. Kerensky, even if you are a clanner.

I had only ever seen maybe 5-6 players on that entire list in game that I can recall, Kellen happened to be one of them.

Unfortunate situation mates, most of us out here only hold the players that cheat accountable unless it's clear cut that it was unit encouraged/known which given the very small portion of players rounded up doesn't seem like it currently would be a factor.

Good to see you guys standing up against it though as OLD really enjoys our battles against CWI, and it's good to know that we can rely on you guys to remove cheaters and suspected ones from the lineups until they are vetted and cleared.

It's a sad day when people feel the need to cheat and use hacks to make themselves feel like they are good players. I wish CWI the best of luck in tier house keeping. I for one have found CWI to a great bunch of guys and I don't hold the actions of three rogue players against them.

We should also take time to thank PGI for being so honest and transparent about who they banned and why.

This is a great shame. I've played with all three of them; one of them many times. Hopefully, at least some of these were mistakes by PGI. If there was no mistake, I am not sorry any of them were banned. I'd rather lose with honor than win in silent and deserved shame.

What has been said has been said and what has been done is final. I too believe it is a great shame to see our Trothkin cheating, however what makes me more sad is that they felt they had to.

Skill can be taught and cheating is not the answer if you want to become better at piloting a 'Mech.

I have nothing but respect for this thread. In my opinion, transparency and distancing from cheating are the only way to keep this flaw away from every unit.

one of those cheaters applied to apart of JFP and did extremely well in his trial of position almost attaining our prestigious ristar award

now we know why,

So yes hopefully PGI can clear out more of the cheaters, especially when it goes to Steam

Well said, Loremaster. I am glad to see CWI continues to uphold the honor of Clan Wolf by distancing and punishing those who would tarnish that honor through dishonorable combat using dishonest means.

It is also good to see PGI for catching them, as I would have no part of taking part in combat with those who do not seek to engage their foes without honor.

Dezgra indeed. Trueborn warriors do not prove themselves with advantages, honor is gained in overcoming disadvantages.
