If there are not already plans to have one, it would be a good idea. Mech 5 Clans being out later this year should drum up alot of support. Catalyst game labs could also promote the Mercenaries box set out this year. Hopefully some of higher ups in the company see this and get things going.

I am sorry, but I have got two bad news for you:

1) MechWarrior / BattleTech are niche games. They are even more niche games than they used to be some twenty or thirty years ago. The amount of support is going to be quite limited.

Even the MechWarrior Online alone has only a fraction of the playerbase it had a few years ago.

2) "Some of higher ups in the company" ignore this forums. The PGI's president Russ Bullock last visited this forum four years ago. The MWO Community Manager Daeron Katz does just one thing: He posts new 'Mechpack offers in the "Announcements" section. The probability of such people seeing your post and acting upon it is not especially high.

No, I do not know what you mean.

The BattleTech IP is owned by a competely different company.

BT was involved in the first Mechcon

if you check out the link you read

"A tactical, 'Mech-based online shooter set in the rich BattleTech Universe."

notice the phrase Battle Tech

And that rich BattleTech universe is owned by different company. Topps, to be specific. PGI can not rip off a different company's IP. It can only use what they created - and that is not much else except 'Mech designs and some tiny background bits.
