another event idea:


make players opt in to have their accuracy measured with tag/narc, their usage of BAP and command console and even targetting modules and the 'spotting' game bonus.

this would make for a weekend where around 35-40% of the players are playin like this and gettin targets, and a similar portion of players would capitalize on this event to fling indirect fire LRMs like mad.

it would not encourage a flat out LRMageddon, like in a LRM based event - because people would still be more focused on getting those targets instead of just boating LRM so they could get the challenge rewards. so it would make for a balanced fun, interesting weekend - with a roughly equal portion of taggers, boats and players who will keep doing their own thing (although probably forced to take AMS for the weekend)

Or, they could bring their normal LRM mechs, who may very well have Tag or Narc anyways. But yeah, they could call it the "Bring on the Rain" event or something. But I do think it would end up being an ECM heavy, LRM heavy weekend. But that's what the TAG is for.
