We will be bringing down the new Mechlab Public Test Server for maintenance at 12 PM PDT. We hope to get the PTS back up next week for continued testing!
Big thanks to any players who have jumped onto the Mechlab PTS so far to take a look at what's in store, especially to any players who have provided feedback or contributed to the Mechlab PTS sub-forum discussions!
The sub-forum will remain open for continued discussion.

Is it just maintenance or a patch containing some improvements?

It would've been nice if you (or any other 'official') collected to this topic suggestions from last weekend just as a courtesy to those who spent time to write their thoughts.
It would be great if after all adjustments to mechlab done of half done those list will have marks like 'applied', 'maybe later, but now it's too much resources needed', 'definetely no', 'still thinking on it', 'poll needed' etc.
If some more explicit reasons for decisions will be given (like 'oh no, we think the game should go opposite direction', 'this offended our artist to the murderous spree, so we hesitate to mention this in his presence', 'this will melt our servers', 'DHL will skin us for thius muc hof traffic', etc.) it may reduce later wave of similar requests and suggestion over same questions. Alas this will be time consuming.

Time consuming maybe, but definitely worth doing.
We are planning to provide everyone with a comprehensive breakdown of the feedback we've received, covering much the same points you suggested.

This is good news to hear. No offence was in my initial post, no offence now, but you said that after weekend off you will come back, so people can test and post suggestions. Now it is next weekend and no hint of PGI interest towards or activity in the topic, just silence. I get that there could've been plenty of thing to happen, but still a note like 'ambushed by code bugs...<static>...will try to get here as...<statics>... avenge me if....<ENDOFTRANSMISSION>' would've been nice. People unfortunately tend to notice inconsistencies like that and it strongly affects overall impression.
But we will be looking towards new mechlab and its probable public testing. By the way, does skills tab count as a part of mechlab?
PS: It's good to see devs keeping eye on players concerns like it was with cheating and other stuff.
