This is the best I could find... He had a low end version on his laptop way back when I was a Commando...

But we're not a millennium into the future see

And in the day of the GPS and other high tech navigation equipment most soldiers still prefer the centuries old method of paper maps and a compass.

GPS systems break, Force Tracker systems get jammed, but paper maps and compasses never fail. Old != bad.

Yeah, just use the giant c-bill sink everybody. Nobody cares, i rather have seen a good rolewarfare options instead of a carry all for everyone to use.

I hate artillery and strikes. They shouldnt be in the game in the first place. The whole module and consumables system is flawed from the start.

I like arty and air, but I think they need rework. The difference between a standard M2 Bradley and an M2 BFIST are changes in electronics packages and weapons. The BFIST trades the TOW launcher for laser ranging equipment, it carries less ammo to make room for an extra radio, and it doesn't carry troops to make room for more equipment for dismount ranging operations.

As you can tell, the BFIST makes serious concessions for its special equipment for ranging for artillery and air. I wouldn't mind seeing that here in MWO.

We SAID that from the start. It just shows how little they listen and how little they understand how battletech works

Exactly. Modern soldier still prefer the map and compass to the GPS.

Just like soldiers will probably still prefer the map and compass to whatever land navigation equipment 1000 years from now.

Nope, to call up a mission from start to finish with top level Gun crews, FD crews, and Foxes from the first transmission until splash down is going to take between 45-75 seconds.

If there are TRPs set, it takes about 15-45 seconds.

Arty already misses enough.

It's barely useful. Cool Shots and UAVs are way better Consumables now.
