I'm a genius!

Edit:

LRMs:
5 vs 5 In a narrow valley. Blue has 5 direct fire mechs, Red has 3 and 2 LRM support. Blue risks shooting through each other, Red has more effective firepower because of the indirect fire.

Lazors:
Unlimited use, but dependent on time to cool down. Peektarts favorite weapon. Don't choke each other at the chokepoint (as is usual with direct fire).

SRMs/Spulse/Slas (high dps/ton, short range weapons):
Getting to the opposing forces without getting ganked or kited beforehand is tricky. Patiently waiting or cunningly feeling out where the enemy formation is weak to shortrange burst damage. Effect is multiplied with more brawlers vs vulnerable opposing force. Difference of SRMs from slas/splas is that SRMs have an edge in dps/ton AND hps/ton BUT has an ammo weakness.

Go ahead and share your theorycrafting and experiences. Violent reactions are welcome as long as you Google "Socratic discourse".

Not sure what your point is.

Situational weapons are also made weaker by situational awareness of the enemy.

Careful with that, might tell everyone how to target an enemy and/or how to swap modes on ECM next.

That would toss the pub queue into chaos!

But don't worry, I will keep that tactical secret to myself.

With as many players seem to think "If I do good we have to win!" We really should discuss the merits of teamwork more.

BTW: Googled it! Socrates believed in brainstorming I see.

If you want some socratic discourse, shouldn't you be asking us questions and let us arrive at the answer together, instead of opening by proclaiming that you're a genius and you have the answer?

It's been some time since I studied philosophy at university, so I could be wrong about this :D

He should be asking questions until we fail to properly answer them, then act smug about it. The Socratic method everyone!

Are you sure that isn't how Socrates did it?

I think this can also be expressed as saying when you have situational weapons you should seek to engage on favourable terms and look out for possibilities to do so. Conversely, if your opponent has situational weapons seek to engage on terms that do not favour them.

I was totally confused by the socratic discourse part though.

You're so screwed when the power is eventually shut off.

Dont forget ... attack people from the rear. No one survives a strategic attack to the rear.

Entirely my bad. But you did ask a question that I had to realize the answer.

Edit: And, I must respect your point for being precise.
