I have played both the (2) Uac5 (4) ML, and the (2) LBX10 (4) ML builds on the K2 and enjoi it very much.

K2 is still a capable mech with the correct situational awareness.

I've been trying to find a decent Jester build, I'll definitely be trying yours. I've never been a fan of Lasers. I feel like Michael J Fox when I'm trying to hit someone with any laser.I really like the idea of the mobility the Jester has. I love my K2 and the build flexibility it has which is why I was curious if it was still any good. At any rate, I purchased the Jester. Felt It was due time I bought a hero mech. Now I just need to grind some C-bill until I can afford a larger engine.

I got my engine for it, from a cicada 3M.. (oddly enough the cicada that comes with the 320, but IMO runs better with a XL-300, you loose almost no speed, and gain a good amount of weight for a much better build.) It is a great medium mech.. and seeing the XL-320 costs 5.2m, saving just an extra 2m gets ya a whole mech!

It runs hot, so when you are up close just use the MPL's, I also have a seperate button to just fire my 2 center torso MPL's, you will need it on extended brawls on hot maps like terra for example. Use the LL's when far for the most part. You can drop a 1/2 ton of ams ammo, and BAP for 2 more heat sinks, but i really don't think it helps improve DPS that much. Another option is to just run 6 medium pulse lasers, with an XL-350, Drop endo and stuff in 10 extra double heat sinks. But for my tastes the catapult just doesn't brawl well enough for it, so i like to keep the range option of the LL's..

But if you are having trouble with lasers, try the pulse.. for me they are a lot easier to use, and do great pin point.

Nice builds, and again, thank you for the suggestions. To be fair I don't really have any issues with using lasers. I just have a twitchy hand if that makes any sort of sense. Just need to practice some. Lasers just don't have that 'oomph' if you get my drift. Its just sort of, "peeeew" haha. Not very exciting.

i fell the same way about medium lasers.. that's why i say try the pulse, they feel much more like an AC, or i'd gather a clan AC as they do a bit more DOT

2LL 2UAC K2

Thats pretty impressive. I jumped in my old K2 boat for a few matches last night. Felt good. My fav builds were either LBX10 builds or AC 10 builds. Granted the last time I was playing I was still learning to pivot so I made it a habit to shoot and twist while maintaining cover. I always found myself in trouble with UACs XD. Love them though.

Not spectacular to most pilots I'm sure, but I'm proud of it. Highest scoring match with my Jester since I've returned.
