It would change a lot imo, average players dropping regularly as 12-er in the group queue will build Elo that thay can't live up to in the solo queue. Then comes solo queue tournament....

So it is your assertion that many who play in 12 man are getting inflated elo ratings above their actual "skill" level while playing in the 12 man arena?

The same is likely true in the Solo arena, if not moreso.

Where would you think that, "getting carried" happens most often? 12-man? or Solo?

I only mean that team-work is a really strong force multiplier so if you play in 12-mans and regularly stomp smaller pick-up groups you will inflate your Elo ratio, and reverse... if you play a lot with a friend and drop as a 2-man in the group queue you are likely to deflate your Elo.

That says nothing about the individual player, just that team-work is powerful. In the solo queue during events we are all on our own (unless pug-bossing, which is OP in the solo queue).

if you want extreme scores in an event, just lose a few hundred matches before the start of the event, and now you know the underhanded tactics that get used to increase scores in events, you will lose alot before the start.

I have found my way back to Elo hell.... and I can't switch chassis/weight classes to get out of it, because I am SOOOOOOOO close to getting my basics done on this mech.

3 matches in a row now, my team not only didn't have people breaking 300 damage, but on 2, I got the only kill......and on the 3rd we got none at all.

Those are the last 3 matches....I have played and lost 6 so far tonight, but the last 3 have been brutality personified. On all of them I had teammates who would n't push, would not group, support, and on one, had a person hide in the corner and shutdown.

There HAS to be a better way for the MM to try to achieve Elo parity. Heck, if I was in my HBK at least I could carry harder and take consolation in that. In these frikking Hoppers? I can only wait for the pain to end.
