I'm thinking of getting a Dragon and was wondering whether they do ultra ac 5s well? I quite like the idea of the dakka you could potentially spit off with it. I've tried the UAC5 a couple of times before, sometimes it jams on first shot sometimes it keeps on going, can't remember if the mech I used it on before had any quirks for it but I'm wondering whether the 5N works well with it.

Each of the Dragons works well with the UAC5.

the 1N is the superior model, its AC/5 are superior to any uac 5 due to 50% quirk while having NO chance to jam.
and to top it off you can equip 2 of them while also fully equipping the rest of the mech with no loss when you have an XL engine in.

I've played dragons since closed beta (dragon bowling ftw) and since they're finally non terrible, I can finally recommend them to people.
The 1N is seriously awesome atm. It's fragile and freaking huge (way bigger than a timber wolf). You've gotta play it like a giant jenner basically. It currently has a +50% AC5 cooldown rate so it's one of 2 fast dakka mechs (Shadowhawk 2k being the other). Both typically run identical layouts (2AC5 and PPC). Although A slower STD engined version with 2XSRM4 can be surprisingly durable
The Flame is always fun either as a LL boat or an AC20 brawler.
The 1C has good high mounted energy hard points for hill humping. A pair of PPC or ERLL in the LT can do quite well.
The 5N and fang are kind of terrible right now. (Ok fang has always been terrible)
