My stable is small, I only keep what I like to drive and dump the rest. I am ticked off that I have all those stinking urbies right now and having two cent ah's stuck there.

Would like the option of a secondary hangar where I can treat it like a septic tank and forget it.

thats not bad idea at all.... like, one for used mech within last 20 days, and then rest of it in permahangar.

i hope we get later the evening or tomorrow a patch for the "old grid" because the new mech selection from pts is just bad

Kind of weird, not like it is hard to leave the current mechlab select screen in there.
Most people like that one and use it to select, the skill tree selection is yuck and the select mech one is beyond yuck.

Someone must just be very attached to their new way, they are right and everyone else will be given no choice until they realize how right it was all along dammit!

The mech selection was the thing most talked about as needing improvement when the new Mechbay was in test....... find out today if its been improved yet?

This is a bit harsh but there should be options for mech favourites, storage, drop decks, under construction etc. This is why it should use the Inventory alpabetical order screen for selection so players can name their mechs in the order in which they want to place them.


For dropdecks it could go
Alpha Kitfox
Alpha Summoner

Beta ????

Then new mechs for instance

New Grasshopper
New ?????

Then at bottom of list depending how player wants

Stored Urbanmech
Stored Dire Wolf

Etc.

Theres a thing about this in test forum.

Basically mech selection would use the Inventory screen thats in game now before and after the update with minor improvements to show full mech view. Simple but allows for all options depending on how each player wants it.

Same here. I already e-mailed support to ask them to delete an IS loyalty mech for my Clan account. I've been really, really tempted to ask them to delete my IS loyalty Atlas and the Phoenix (P) variants I'm not using as well, since I can't sell them.

I wish I could just choose which mechs to display, and then have the UI remember my preferences every time I log on.

What's truely sad is that again PGI has not listened to its testers. If you look through the Public Test forum, you will see a plethora of threads with screen mockups showing improved mech selection menus and grids.

Based on the feed back there, very few testers liked the current method. I agree with them so I will also abstain from patching and playing until this is fixed.

On a side note, our Community Manager is failing to communicate with us - she started a thread in which she said "As promised, we are still going to provide a rundown on the feedback we received during the MechLab PTS, to let you know what we've already integrated and what might be integrated in the future." and has not yet posted this information.

As far as I can tell, she's been just as silent on the forum as her predecessors. Which isn't necessarily her fault - I guess she does whatever PGI tells her to do. But as far as I can tell, interacting with the fans on the forum is not on her to-do list. Unless she's very busy on the parts of the forum I never frequent.

I would love to show you my Mechlab.... but over half of my Mechs are inappropriately named, some of them in frustration with PGI,ect...

Does this mean the new Mechlab will go back to the original list?

I totally agree.... Something like the Mech REady List that was in the Original UI

I simply cant believe that so much feedback bout mech select is being ignored...

The new mech select is terrible, and requires more clicks to select a mech and drop...cannot understand :(

Yeah, I would love that too. And the ability to choose a profile pic for my account, similar to the one in UI 1.0. Half a dozen alternatives for each faction. I can't imagine it would take a skilled artist more than a couple of days to do, given their small size.
