  • Cockpit Glass toggle has been added to the Game Settings menu.

Uh, for the longest time we've been able to disable the glass and adjust fov...
It's about time they move it from the user.cfg and into the actualy game.

Yes but for the longest time we've had it changed in the cfg so it does not affect anyone interested in the slightest.

FOV slider is always a good idea. The tighter in FOV can make some people motion sick, so it should always be an option in a FPS, so I'm glad it is now an option in the menu (for people that don't edit game files). Only problem is I need to remember where I set mine at.

As for the glass, that was never that big an issue. Still, I SUPPOSE it is a good (if unnecessary addition).

Yay, maybe now my FoV will actually change. Been broke for me for two years. No matter what I set it to, it doesn't change. People have even looked at my configs and said it should have worked....

So out of curiosity, is it the bigger the FOV, say 80 the more you can see? If so what will 120 look like. Off to the testing..... grounds.

Umm it appears the smaller the fov the bigger the window!

I'm definitely gonna enjoy having that adjustable, greater that 80 helps on the Locust 1V, gonna see how it goes in some matches when I get a chance.

And now I wonder if each mech could save a different FOV setting in the future.

Yea, the bigger the FOV value, the more the camera zooms back and the more peripheral vision you have.

I cannot change FOV.
It's only me or does anyone else have the same issue?

Must I restart mwo to make it work?

This is pure win... 3440x1440 begs for wide fov and that you can adjust it in match you can finally optimize it when in a mech with a good view

Err… But it does affect everyone who is interested.

1) It affects those who constantly change these values, they no longer need to open the folders, edit the notepad, save, close, and restart the game everytime you want to see what the change looks like.
2) And it affects those who are interested in changing fov, but never knew about the user.cfg.

There’s nothing wrong with bringing that functionality into the game, is there? I’m much happier when I don’t have to close my game, navigate folders, and input command lines and edit values. A slider and toggle are much easier.

Fair enough. But in any game if i get get a certain fov i feel stuck in a small space and the first thing i do is seek to change it because i don't feel right(physicaly), i assume it's the same for everone else, if you don't like the fov you change it.

Whats a manual....i think you are in the wrong game for that.

There is no mention of this anywhere other then these forums. You had to alter your User.cfg in the game files to do this before today.

Yea this too, now you can change it from a wide FOV on say a crab to a smaller one on a light mech like the FS9 on the fly. Its a very nice addition if you ask me.

I'm at work so I haven't gotten to try the FoV slider yet, but reading that it can be done on the fly ingame is great. I had my FoV increased for a bit but found it really messed up with certain cockpits, it will be nice to be able to just set it per Mech per drop.
