You know the drill: we passionately demand new game modes. Preferably ones that don't split the queues too much.

But let's get this moving.

In the periphery, if one appears with shiny new tech, one gets busted clean of if. That timberwolf may be deadly, but everyone will be wanting a piece of it.

LEVEL 1
So one only goes to the periphery in ages old equipment: good old level 1 tech. [one new check mark to assault/conquest/skirmish]

LEVEL 2 IS
Think backwater Federated Suns. It's not periphery because Davions were diligent in politics. And Star League Memory Cores just found their way there. Clan tech, though, is just a distant thought: ComStar Level 2 tech. [one more check mark to assault/conquest/skirmish]

LEVEL 2 ALL
We have reached this already. Thanks, MWO is alive and well.

LEVEL 3
Now we need elbow room for secret service agents and galaxy commanders' tech caste specials. New tech could be field tested in this mode: Level 3 [three new check marks total to assault/conquest/skirmish]

CLOSING THOUGHTS
We're fearful of queue splitting.

What about players leaving?

That's far more serious issue in my opinion. These modes would be very endearing to many players, and could net an increase across the game modes.

Thanks

So is the suggestion that if you kit out your mech with certain weapons and equipment it fits within a tech level and those are the only matches you can join?

Can't tell if this is a gameplay suggestion or a recommendation for a role-playing mini-game campaign...

Maaaybe this could work if the game had saaaay... x 6 the number of players it has now... but right now.. the CW que would have wait times in hours, not minutes.. same for PUG's..
