Anyone else just realize it was time to get a new monitor? It was going to happen sooner or later but the fact that the new MechLab came out with the sweet expanded view and I couldn't use it, has now gotten Amazon more money!
Oh well, just another eventual upgrade but excited for the new expanded lab!

New Monitor Anyone?

If you're going to use a flat screen TV for a computer monitor, make sure you get full 1080 HD.
Don't buy one that's only 720, because the resolution will be too low.

I use a 36" bit older LCD as my main moniter..... so sad I have to unplug it and put an actual computer moniter to use, just to see an expanded view for tinkering with my mechs.
Honestly it is half the draw of battletech for me.. playing with my mechs in game and out.

Depends on how much you are willing to spend. I admit to just going nucking futz and buying this:
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824009742
I have been playing many games on it to include the Witcher 3 and the IPS panel clarity via a gtx 980 is mind blowing. I play MWO at the highest settings and the frame rates have never dipped below 50 even in a furball.
There is a new one in the pipeline that will be even bigger http://www.kitguru.n...-nvidia-g-sync/
The cost on the latter is expected to be around $1300.
Alot of people focus on the video card but your eyes take the strain of staring. For me that was worth something I plan on keeping for 5 or more years

I got a 28" one at Christmas. Cost me $100(ish). Its been a good investment for the several games I play.

No, I only patched to check out the lab and see what all the halabaloo was about.
I didn't play the game but my monitor was fine..
Mech selection was pretty effed up though...
Did I miss anything ?
