1. I like the old "Mech Select Screen" much better.

2. FOV + Cockpit Glass should be placed in the "Video Settings" imho.

Thx :)

I my opinion fov should be locked, aka same for all. I’ve never played with fov settings before, but earlier I read about people claiming to suffer from motion sickness with fov at 60 for some unknown reason. How people are able to play with anything above 70 without throwing up in MWO is beyond me.

Anything higher and the terrain is stretched out at the sides, and when you turn it’s more or less like the terrain is accelerating the further out it gets. Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea of being able to see further to each side. I just don’t think it works very well.

It feels like a “cheat” you do to in some config file to widen your fov, but at the cost of other unwanted results. But then again, this is pretty much just what it is, they just made a slider for it.

If anyone have suggestions on how to use this while maintaining a good looking game, please tell me how.

Maybie you like the old mech select screen better because you are used to it.Changes mostly feel uncomfortable first.
Dont wanna play the smart guy but give it some time and i bet you will get used to it.
When you speak of not seeing the mech pictures anymore, i also feel uncomfortable with that.
Now i dont pick a mech to play a match with on the fly anymore :)

First of all, I like the new Mechlab very much. Changing builds is much easier now. Good Job on that.

But I must say I liked the old mech selction way much better. I can find the mech I want much quicker by the visual representations. And with all the filters and dropdown menus, this kind of feels like I have to make much more clicks before I can switch a mech between matches.
I think it would be great if you could choose beween the old and the new mech selction. This would satisfy the visual guys, like me, and the people who like the new, more organized version.

Randomly the UI does not show mech's XP in the left bottom where it should be with the new layout

FOV is needed for large and multimonitor setups. this is pretty much the only reason
