I am trying to fit one of these into my Kintaro mech, but there is no option on the UI menu to install one. My Stalker mech does have the option though. Is there some restriction as to which mechs can install a Command Console ? ( And yes, I know they have to be installed in the mech's head).

Per lore, only heavy and assault 'mechs have enough physical space in their head sections to mount a command console, which is basically a second cockpit.
Now if only it had better benefits, like being able to light up multiple targets for friendlies because there's supposed to be a second pilot in your 'mech...

Do not use ever, complete waste of tonnage. The only installation I ever performed was on a King Crab that was three tons underweight with one free slot.

My BLR-1G is like that as well. I coupled it with a Beagle Active Probe and have good sensor range

It works well with a Bap if you have one slot and a few extra tons on an lrm boat. It can also help somewhat with accuracy when using advanced zoom. Outside of long range and lrms, its pretty useless. If it wieghed a ton or half a ton, it would be ok, but it doens't.

^ The BAP is vastly more efficient in range boost per ton. The CC adds almost nothing. BAP + Advanced Sensor Range are sufficient for 99% of all maps. With the current ECM environment you are not going to get locks any way.

I posted a suggestion for improving the command console in the Suggestion Board a month ago, but it seems to have gone unnoticed

Fixed that for you. You're welcome.
It improves sensor range, zoom magnification, and target info gathering time. Not by enough to be worth 3 tons, IMO, though.

I use the CC/BAP combo in my Hellslinger. It's ok. Honestly, if we had Inner Sphere Streaks in 4 packs I'd rip the command console out and upgrade 2 of my 3 Streak launchers on the thing to 4 packs (and maybe try to find somewhere to scrape up another ton and a half for the third one).
