I like the new mechlab. Its what we were asking for and while not perfect it is much better than the old one. I think some people will just never be happy unless it is exactly the way they want it in every single detail. But PGI cant design it so every single person gets it exactly the way they want sorry.

Yeah the new Mechlab is great. Most of the complaints I'm seeing are about the Mech Select tab we're being forced to use.

I bet if they had kept the old wall of Mechs and just introduced the new Mechlab layout once you hit 'configure' the amount of QQ would be a lot less.

Not to say the wall of Mechs was perfect, it certainly needed more sorting options, and IMO, the ability for us to create and label our own tabs for Mechs.

Yep and I bet they will be adding more improvements over time. So maybe people can calm down some haha.

New 'mechlab is awesome.

Mech Select is terrible. Who decided 12 'mechs onscreen at one time maximum was a good idea? I was getting 40+, easy, with the old wall set up. They knew it was bad before launch but bundled them for technical reasons. It'll get revisited "eventually", along with catapult scaling and the flea.

Meh, still can't select mech by typing its name. It is 2015 FFS.

I sure as hell hope they put in a mech details screen for the Column view.

It's horrendous right now. Can't see where everything is, unless you like clicking.

Hmm. But then, do you let the player search on the name they've assigned, or on the variant name? On the full variant title (Cataphract) or the short name (CTF)?

Is it worth letting the player add tags to their 'mechs for searching purposes? #Dakka #GlassCannon #ModulesHere

The new lab is great. It simplifies load out selections. The mech select and purchasing new mechs could be a little easier, but all in all is an improvement.

8 clicks VS 1 click

Pretty big inflation there.

I'm not a of fan this new layout, way too many unnecessary windows and things to expand. At least give people the option to use the old interface between this new one.

I think it is a much needed improvement yet will need some tweaks. The expanded view is nice and easy to navigate but the mech select is in need of work. I will make a final decision after I give it a few days trial and error then revisit this.

How about all of the above? At least the shortened name.

For example, if I type 6R in search and my WVR-6R shows up then I'll be happy.

Aside from the mech select bit, the mechlab is a vast improvement over what came before, both v1 and v2. Even there, PGI is investigating how they'll change even the mech select.

Used it a lot tonight, it's really snapy to switch mech, change loadout and switch mech again. No wait time like before.

No... they couldn't stop obsessing over the mech select screen to do anything else.
